4-player online multiplayer is better than no online multiplayer at all and I am getting this not because of the brand but for the reason that I only want to see what EA has to offer with their first iOS FPS i mean it could be a lot different than those of gameloft's in terms of overall FPS experience.
Well, if EA wants BFBC2 to compete in the FPS category, it'll actually have to.. compete. Multiplayer is the most important aspect of an FPS for me, but if it can't match other FPS games in the App Store then I'll be passing on this.
yip meh we already know most of that. Graphics look good? I agree but it's a opinion. gimme more screens and a vid that doesnt show what slide and TA show and I then I'll deicide.
im surprised to say, but this game looks awful. the graphics look terrible, the control looks terrible, and wtf multiplayer.
Yes, this is a HUGE deal for me. I'm not going to play Modern Combat 2 online at home using my own wi-fi, when I could just as easily use my wi-fi to play COD:BO or BBC2 on my 360. MP from Gameloft is really only for people who use the iDevice as their primary and/or only gaming platform. If you have a 360 or Ps3 and you actually use it, then Gameloft's refusal to support 3g online is a significant turn-off. And I'm not going to jailbreak just to play Gameloft games online. I would need additional motivation to do that.
Several gaming sites who have actually played the game would disagree with you, and quite vehemently I might add.
Well most iDevice gamers are actually iPod touch owners so I see the dumbed down multiplayer for 3G as being pointless. (Although there are just as many iPhones, they aren't used for gaming as enough as iPods). And by now more people definitely own 3rd and 4th generation devices than 1st and 2nd gens so they should cater do the needs for newer device owners by making the graphics kick-ass and leaving out early devices all together. (C'mon seriously? An iPhone 3G can't even handle iOS 4 properly, and there's no way you're gonna play games without crashes and lag.) Either buy a new device or wait for PlanetBeing to release his overclocking application.

Hope ea supports the game retina display.Don't worry about the multiplayer it's not like ea are not going to update the game!
not necessary archetype was pretty popular in the start cause it had 3g there are many ipod touch's but not all of them are used for gaming some people just have it for music or videos not all the people know what they hold in their hands cause itouch is more cheap then iphone everyone who gives 750 euros on a phone must know all of its uses
Old. Have you actually looked at the recent screenshots (those that are shown in the quoted link above^^)? They're obviously from a retina-display device.
I cry everytime I see that this thread was bumped. I was so excited for it but Im constantly reminded of the low end graphics, 4 player multiplayer, non destructible environments...like guys I WAS SO FREAKING ECSTATIC for this don't get me wrong I'm still gonna buy it but like damn guess I'll be sticking to MC2 for my fps fix. Id pay 4.99 for a mc2 map pack...
awful graphic, you can tell this was rushed, and EA is just releasing this as a cashcow ima stick to MC:BP
No, but PlanetBeing, the amazing developer of OpeniBoot and LogoMe and some jailbreaks is creating an application that allows you to increase the CPU MHz speed of your device. That wouldn't magically give you OpenGL 2.0 or anything but it could definitely make laggy games run a lot smoother.
I don't think the graphics look that bad. I mean they don't look quite as good as Moder Combat 2, but even though they're pretty basic and simple, at least they're sharp. Comparison - Modern Combat 2 on top, BFBC2 below.
