why did they say november if they werent even gonna release it this month but still we got a few more days of november so u never know but anyways they should have said december instead of giving a false deadline if they knew they werent gonna make it by november
I agree 100%, I can't stand false info but it could still happen. They are EA and they haven't been known to give to much info
Who said it would be released in November? EA never officially announced the release date so don't blame them. edit - so it was IGN. I don't trust them. I think it'll be released next year.
Most anticipated game of this year! Will probably be the biggest let down of the year! Why?: 1. Mirror's Edge anyone? That was 4 months late. 2. Battlefield iphone will be the "1st" FPS by EA for iOS. The 1st !!! 3. This game, being as epic as it is, would need a lot of development time (even Gameloft needed a year to develop modern combat 2) Battlefield BC2 just came out for consoles in March of this year. 4. There has been absolutely NO word on anything related to this game, neither from google searches, nor EA. Honestly, I would rather have EA make a perfect port of just 1 of the MP maps. Oasis (map) from BFBC1 is still my favorite BF map of all time. Then use DLC at $0.99 per map. Making a full story driven campaign is just a waste of valuable resources that could be used for quality. COD: Zombies did an excellent job of bringing a quality version of just one aspect of the game.
Not enough people would buy those DLC maps, even at .99c, for this to work. There is plenty of evidence already to support the fact that if you make a MP game, the MP component of any portion of the game that is DLC related will be dead. Only a small percentage of your online user base will actually transition over to this IAP content, regardless of the cost. A very small percentage.
im buying this game the day it comes out no matter how much it is or if it sucks. BFBC > any other FPS.
I can pretty much agree with your statement with the exception of development time because only EA knows how long they have been working on it which could be a year already as far as we know
1. Did you know that big companys have multiple (completeley) different dev teams? 2. True, but they have had time to look at other fps games on the AppStore to see what good and bad things they have. 3. They don't have to come up with a story or design the levels (design not meaning make). Also, we don't know when they started developing this. 4. Except for those screenshots no. I hope they do say something soon.
Whatever the price for COD zombies right now is, you pay that for all maps, not even lite, but full version
Not really. What happened with those DLC maps is that a small percentage of the gamer base purchased the maps and for a fews days or so, played them heavily. Then they stopped, or at least their hardcore dedication to the maps waned. Probably within a week, or 2 weeks for sure, if you were to try to go online and find a random match using one of these DLC maps you would discover that nobody was playing them anymore. Not enough people within the online gaming community bought them overall to sustain any sense of longevity. The same thing happened with Archtype, when they released a CTF mode that required a DLC purchase. Not enough people bought it and now the CTF mode is dead. People will only purchase multiplayer DLC in abundance if it offers them a competitive advantage, which, of course, should never happen. Like, if they offered certain guns that were clearly superior through some sort of IAP system. If they did, people would buy it, which would throw off the entire balance of the game and cause a lot of other people to stop playing. The DLC map idea is good only if there is an extremely large overall user base. If 5 million people own the console version of COD, then offering map packs is a good idea because enough people will buy them to at least keep those maps consistantly populated. If only a few thousand people own the game overall, the map packs don't work. The only iDevice game where I believe that map packs would work is Modern Combat 2. There is a user base of like 200,000 for that game. If ten percent, or 20,000 people bought the map pack, you would still probably be able to find a match for those maps at more or less any time of day. The user base for COD Zombies is nowhere near 200,000. I'm not certain what the user base for Battlefield would be under the proposal of shipping it with only one MP map and then adding more maps later, but I gotta believe it would be closer to COD Zombies then Modern Combat 2. Remember, Modern Combat 2 is a full game, which by itself attracts far more people to purchase it. COD Zombies is not a full game, so I'm guessing less people bought it.
Here is some info of the Multiplayer: "ESCALATE WITH FULL-ON MULTIPLAYER Initiate combat with 4-player action across dedicated maps. Engage in 2-4 player Free for Alls and Team Death Matches. The game supports OTA, WiFi, 3G, and BT Multiplayer. Push invitations to friends to join you in online battles." I guess it won't have destructible environments Link: http://theappera.com/2010/10/07/battlefield-bad-company-iphone-ea-introduces-another-franchise/
That just makes you sound like a fool. So you're just buying it because of the "BFBC" name, ...."no matter what!!!!!!!!!!" I've got some tighty-whites with "Battlefield Bad Company 2" written on them with a black sharpie. Wanna buy??? What a sheeple.
Wreak havoc on enemy forces with a plethora of powerful weapons and vehicles. Access an arsenal of up to 14 weapons, from a simple knife to a rocket-propelled grenade. Also drive the action with multiple vehicle types, including a tank and helicopter. Enjoy the mobile, mechanized style of battle that’s a signature of Bad Company 2. Arnt the destructable environments also a signature of BC2???
I hope the 4 players thing is a misprint... That would be pretty lame, even by iOS standards. I keep getting hyped up and disappointed... I hope tomorrow I don't find out that Aralon is going to be on rails or something.
