Hopefully not. Then again, I'm sure EA is pretty willing to hold it up to build some kind of hype. However, they did do it to Reckless Racing too. It was all done in the summer (we saw most of the features in videos), but decided to hold it for a while. Who knows, they might have done LOTS of extensive bug fixes. xD
Who cares anymore? If EA's marketing scheme is to create hype by ignoring their customers, then let's do the same back. Just don't talk about anything EA, or bite any hook they give us. It's not like they're GAMELOFT. *Besides, does anyone really think this game will live up to the hype? *Has anyone seen a "console-port" from EA that was an actual port? *Does EA have any real, quality games on the iphone? (no FIFA please) *Has EA made any FPS games for iOS? (they screwed Mirror's Edge) *Does EA have a good track-record of updating games? Maybe it was a test, to see the response from the gaming community. Now they just have to delay it for 6 months, just like Mirror's Edge. As much as I'd like to buy this on the first day of release, I think I'll wait for impressions because EA hasn't impressed me much lately.
But with most of their iPhone and console games EA doesn't actually make the game. Another company makes it and EA just publishes it. Dice made BC2 and the multiplayer part of MoH on consoles. Criterion made Burnout on consoles. EA just publishes the games, probably does something similar on iPhone. They better improve the graphics. I want shader effects on newer devices and more draw distance.
I'm hoping that it's released this month, but also I hope it's released later too (weird, huh?). But didn't they mention a November release date? I think this time they're going to release it on time. For Mirror's Edge, they announced it was delayed two or three weeks before (if not one week), and Reckless Racing they didn't even announce any release date. This time, they announced a general release date, and they haven't announced a delay (yet). This month:I have the game! YAH! Later:More polished game (hopefully), more features could be added to the game.
This Game is going to be fu**ing amazing ! I hop it comes out this year ! I think it will be released with the new Vietnam expansion that comes for Battlefield Bad Company 2 this Winter. I hope too that there will be expansion for the iPpne version too and additionnal map packs ! Oh god, I want it now ! Concerning any update, EA Games states that there is NO new news update concerning BBC2 but that it is still in developpment. @Twitter So guys, if you have a PS3 and you want to play BBC2 add me : Dosch-033
Those screenshots are pre-alpha and do not represent the final build. I'm almost certain of it. That's why we haven't seen it release yet. The game is still in development. It could reach gold status soon though and certainly release within the next month. I would not rule it out.
