I will likely get both the PC and the 360 versions. I will say that I absolutely hate the notion of people being allowed to operate their own servers. This seems to be one of the main fundimental principles of PC gaming, but I think it is completely stupid. I suppose there is a practical reason involving compatable ping strength and latency issues and what not, but too many people end up abusing the privilege of having their own ranked game server by making up their own stupid rules and just doing generally idiotic stuff. I call it the video game version of a god complex. Give someone control of a server, and all of a sudden they think they are some sort of gaming god. And you must bow down to them and kiss their toes, or risk getting booting from their precious server. Weaksauce. Also, I cannot play with a keyboard and a mouse. No chance. I'll set up a wireless 360 controller for my laptop, but I fully realize that I will still get destroyed by keyboard players. A mouse and keyboard is far and away more accurate, for those who know how to use them. So, I'll play the PC version, because I'm interested in the high-end graphics, the additional boost in frame rate, and the larger lobbies, but I will have far more success in matches while playing the 360 version.
Totally agree with this. Hardcore PC gamers who spend alot of money on their rigs deserve a game that utilizes that power to it's full potential.
Kind of late but I'd thought I'd post this because it's amazing, then again what we haven't seen anything that isn't. 1080p for maximum pleasure
Believe me, I would get BF3 for my PC in a heartbeat and go along with those of you that say consoles suck. However, there's no point in changing my mind between getting it for consoles or PC because my laptop can't handle games like these for crap. So until I find a way to upgrade my laptop, consoles ftw.
Do any of you guys talk tactic when you play? I'm one of the few players who talk about strategy while most of my friends just socialize.
I would if I had a mic. I listen to people that do, though. I think there's a much better success rate. Picking off objectives in rush is MUCH easier that way.
Even though majority of my friends will be getting the console versions I have to get it on PC. Nothing compares to 64 player maps, in fact even the 48 player maps from BF2 were pretty epic.
Tuesday is the early beta! While I'm stoked I'm a little bummed out it's the same exact map from the alpha and no conquest mode from what I heard. While the alpha was amazing, I'm not too interested in rush mode and am dying for some legit conquest and a new map.
I love rush more than conquest, but that's just me. Regardless, i'm still excited for this game especially as the release draws near.
