Battlefield 3, is anyone going to buy it?

anyone else can't connect? I saw a maintenance blog post, but that was last night..

 

The link is from sept. 30th, when the battlelog video was released by EA. They do mention that you can use mobile devices for battlelog. When I tried to find an app, I couldn't find anything, so I thought that maybe it was browser based. But when I tried loading the website on my itouch, I found that it didn't work in a mobile format. And besides, the pictures in the battlelog video show battlelog on mobile being presented as an app (with all the options at the bottom of the screen, like when you use your music for example). So maybe it's just not out yet. We'll wait and see.

What's up my Battlefield broskis, I'm looking for some people to help me do the co op grind for weapons on PS3. I'm already up to drop em like liquid and would like of you had a mic. all i can say is iv been living under a rock. this game looks so hard core. i would have to get a new pc to run this game I bet. i bet the military loves these games, so new grunts joining up would have a idea of whats going on.. even tho im sure i can hear a Sargent already screaming into some poo r kids face this is not battefeild3 son.. this is real and you will die if you do not follow my pant legs around like a lost puppy tilli have trained you.. one day ill get a gaming computer,and see how bad i really am.

old game i know but my fav first persons hooter would of had to been C&C renegade. i would love if they came out with a second version.. i so would buy it stat.

That server made me lag like f'ing hell. I couldn't get anything going the second time around.

Yay, I just broke the 1 K/D ratio. Not starting off the game at a very good note.

 

Tell me about it, I get to 1 kdr then i unlock somethign new die a ton getting that gun good get back to 1 kdr rinse repeat. Finally on my first assault gun, after soley playing eng, and i cant kill crap with this starter gun, then when i finally do BF crashes......1

The best advice for snipers:

Use the Recon Class and play Conquest until you reach lvl 16. Upon reaching that level you unlock the UMP-45. In your recon class make the primary weapon the UMP-45 and then play your ass off some more in conquest with the altered recon class. This will allow you to level up quickly with a decent gun as all guns pre lvl 16 (i.e. SV98 and the piece of shits MOD 11 and SVD, are horrendous.) Then when you unlock the desired gun in your recon class...switch the primary weapon again.


Conquest can grant you the most EXP per match, I was getting close to 8,000 EXP per match for the better part of 2 hours. Then I just started sucking...

But this is the easiest and most effective way to unlock the M98B and the M40A5 two of the best snipers in the game.

 

I haven't even paid attention to my k/d ratio haha. I don't even know what it is. Just focusing on getting the most points, rather than kills.

 

Well, there are two reasons for a low KDR.
1. You're being a lone-wolf and trying to go for kills, even though that doesn't work in Battlefield 3.
2. You ARE working as a team, but you're not doing a great job of it. If you were, mainly someone would be there reviving you so that every time you're downed it doesn't count as a death.
3. You need a medic.

@Barca I would also say that instead of using the SV98, Mk11, and SVD, use the PP2000 until you unlock the UMP. Otherwise, an iron sight starter rifle (although they suck like heck).

 

Man this game is so freaking amazing. Everytime I go to my buddy's house, we play the hell out of it. Really like that they combined the assault and medic class in this one, my two favourite classes ^.^

 

I'm digging the support class the most. The unlocks you get are just too awesome, especially the mortar on a level like Seine Crossing. The only thing I don't like is that the sniper class should have got the claymore instead of support, that's just weird to me as the sniper always had the claymore in other battlefields.

 

Really enjoying the game so far and I absolutely love the Assault and Engineer class, great fun to be had with both of them. I hate playing Operation Metro, the team which holds B in conquest or defends in rush usually wins, almost impossible to push past the station when the enemy team is on high ground. Although I just played a game where my team was rubbish and we lost even though we got B first and held it for a while. I wish more people were more objective oriented, screw the K/D, stop camping and sitting back when we're gonna lose the match.
