Hell yes. I need me some more real FPS games after all that CoD rubbish. Everything about it looks awesome.
More like who ISN'T going to buy it, I'm 95% confident that this will destroy COD and Modern Warfare 3
Wat is batlefeild? Halo domniates it. ... Haha Battlefield 3 looks amazing. I'm diggin it so far (as long as the PS3 version works out well... Frostbite 3 has me a little worried.)
Definitely. BFBC2 is currently my favorite modern FPS on the consoles, so this is a no-brainer for me.
Will probably end up getting it. But I really don't think that counts as a gameplay trailer. Maybe a teaser?
I'm willing to bet most, if not all, of us have played Call of Duty/Halo/Killzone/whatever a fair bit and we're actually just making honest judgements because some series' are definitely going downhill and this one is definitely getting better.
More like we just got sick of CoD and Halo and realized BF was extremely superior. I'll never buy another CoD game again unless they do something different instead of boring campaign, zombies, and horrible multiplayer. Bad Company 2 left enough of an impression on me that I'll buy any new Battlefield that will come out. Anyway, inFamous 2 is still my most anticipated game, until maybe I see more Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, or any of the other awesome looking games.
My comment was not meant as an insult, only an observation. In fact, I like the BF series a lot, they consistantly bring quality that COD and other recent shooters can't. In my view both COD and Halo took a step back with their newest releases (more so with COD though), while BF is still bringing fresh and fun gameplay, Doesnt EA DICE have almost all the employees that did MW2 from Infinity ward now too?
I didn't say it was an insult. But what do you expect from a BF3 thread. DICE doesn't have the IW guys, they made their own company under EA called Respawn Entertainment.
Ok fair enough . I couldn't help but notice that this is another fall 2011 release, meaning it will be up against some competition from MW3 (which will be successful, like it or not), Gears 3, Uncharted 3 and Rage. I hope it still does well. And on a side note, is Respawn Entertainment planning any games? I would love to see what they could come up with after MW2.
I wish they'd make a sequel to Battlefield 1943. It's my favourite online FPS. I couldn't get into BFBC2, something just doesn't feel right. MW2 is even worse, just boring and repetitive.
I expect it to be good, but unfortunately Battlefield will never sell as well as CoD, which is a shame because its much, much, much better, on every single front. Unless CoD starts using a different engine then I really don't have any interest. The physics and lack of any atmosphere in CoD are a joke. The only great CoD game was Call of Duty 4. The best shooters out there at the moment are Killzone 3, although I prefer the Killzone 2 multi-player, Battlefield: BC 2. And I guess Halo... if you're into that sort of thing, I only liked S.W.A.T Modes on Halo to be honest.
