I thought there was no story? and yeah, it's unfortunate how it's always Middle-East, Russia, China, North Korea or someone else as the bad guys... It would be groundbreaking if the bad guys were some Western countries like USA, Canada, Britain etc.
Yeah, no more making fun of Russian accents(my cousin is russian so...), Soviet Russia jokes and stuff like that.
There is a reason for that. Check out DOD (department of defense) assisting game makers. It is a mix of propaganda against future / potential and current enemies of the Empire of A. You are inadvertently developing preconceptions of who is good and who is naughty, who is right (subjective), and who is always wrong, and most importantly, "evil." But if some crappy, knock off, Russian call of duty has a level attacking USA, The UN has a shitstorm, and it is urged to be pulled. Our political double standard.
Yeah my dad explained me something about US army funding war games to create an idea of evil people from the East...
I'm russian and I don't really take offense to the russians being the enemies. Just saying, I don't think it really is such a big deal. As for the russian's point of view, we don't really have many major enemies that we would fight in a videogame. There are so few game developers/studios in Russia anyway. The latest major game was Metro 2033, and the developer's studio wasn't even based in Russia, but in Ukraine.
Still though, Im sure we can both agree that US and Russian are two completely different countries. America always puts middle east, korea, and russia as the enemy, but that only makes sense if Russia sees US as the main enemy. Russia fighting in Afghanistan would be a nice game, especially because it's happened before. All in all im just tired of US being portrayed as the good guy or hero when really we are not.
That'll be just like the movie Battle Los Angeles, it would be cool if something like that was for iOS with shadowgun like graphics
I'm actually really looking forward to this... It probably won't be good as MC3, but I bet it'll be awesome. Good graphics, we've seen from screens... 50 guns -- hell yeah! Ragdoll pysics even! Should be great.
Actually I hope it'll be better than MC3 and give us the amazing BF3 experience just ported into a little smaller.
I really hope EA starts giving more information about this game after xmas. This is a long wait for an iOS game that we dont know much info about, if it doesnt release before the beginning of february i'll be very disappointed. It's pretty ridiculous that they constantly give more info/updates about Dead Space and cancelled NFS:The Run(for iOS), but they wont talk about Battlefield.
i remember someone here posted that this game was going to be a freemium is that still true? cause i really dont want to keep buying energy all the time after i run out that would be seriously g@y
Yea i think it will be free based off of the screenshots that i saw, but i dont think you have to buy energy. That just wouldnt work in a multiplayer because that would seriously slow down gameplay, knowing EA they wont force you to pay-to-play if the game is free, most likely you can get better guns faster by using in-app purchases, just search battlefield play4free on google and you'll see what im talking about.
Buying energy worked perfectly well with Eliminate. It pissed people off, but undeniably it can work. Giving an distinct advantage in a multiplayer game to those who spend the most amount of money on weapons/upgrades could be a deal breaker/game breaker. You would have to be very careful not to disrupt competitive balance.
