From what I've heard, the game is fun if you did play and enjoy the original (battlefield 1942). Haven't heard anything from others though ^^

Well I've played just about all BF games on every platform, I would start by saying if you didnt like Bad Company then you certainly wont like 43, which uses the same game engine and basic control schemes. Its basically BC with alot less content in WW2 setting weapons/maps/vehicles etc.
That said its 15 bucks so its expected it wont be a full fledged game with a lot of content, although Im sure DLC will be coming.

I didnt think BC was all that bad ( only speaking of online play btw ) but got boring like most games after awhile. The GR mode had its drawbacks. I got bored b4 the conquest mode was added and havent played since lol.

Anyway 43 has the classic capture the control point mode which is fine but it also has classic 1942 type of maps that are pretty big and spread out, BC focused on small areas with the GR mode. But to me its a glaring problem with only 12on12 the maps can be a little sparse of action considering its likely you'll already have 4 guys in the air flying the planes doing much of nothing usually. It really needs to support more players otherwise it would be worth it. That and more variety in guns is a issue as well.

Also you mentioned the other 360 BF game Im assuming BF2- MC which wasnt all that bad either but in no way has any console BF game compared to a PC BF game in any way shape or form unfortunately.

I have it and have been playing nonstop since it came out. Plays like bad company, but is somehow a lot more fun. It doesn't get old for me. Maybe it's the limited number of classes and the regenerative health, these things just allow you to focus on one thing and one thing only: the killing.

I recommend you ask your friends if they will dive in with you, because it's a lot more fun with friends and squad play. Get the trial, do the tutorials, and use up your online time. Then you will know.

You're the guy that sits on the carrier waiting for the planes, aren't you?

Battlefield is about objective capturing, it's not deathmatch.

    I absolutely love this game.

Although I already own a 360, I would buy one just to play this game. Most of my gaming experience comes from PCs and I played BF1942 competitively with xclan and worked our way up to finish 1st in the second season of the game. That being said, this is the most fun I have had on a console, ever. Its the best multiplayer experience I have had on a console and one of my favorite games of all time. At $15, you only get 3 maps + Coral Sea so the content is limited but there is a lot of replay value to the game as you learn the classes and the vehicles.

    add me!

We can get a toucharcade squad goin!

    Only on occasion.

And I'd consider this To be more deathmatch than capturing. You can win with an all out deathmatch, but you cant win if all you do is capture points. The meter goes down only when you kill, which is the only way to win. And actually I'm usually the one doing the capturing, the kills just come as an extra.

Just wondering, what is everyone's rank?

I'm a silver two bar thing (vertical bars) and I strive to get 20 kills per game. I used to suck hard but once I was familiar with the rifle I got a lot better. That's my weapon of choice.

Wrong, the meter goes down per kill but also goes down depending on how many bases more than you the opposing team has!

The bar moves down slowly per kill, but the bar constantly drains when your team owns more cap points. I wish more people actually knew this.

no, it only goes down when you kill. It goes down more per kill if you have more capture points, but if you dont kill it doesnt go down at all. This was stated in that Xbox tips video that they put out recently.
