Not sure if sarcasm for the sake of trolling the trolls, or actual opinion

@scary guns: if you don't like the game, fine. Don't play, I could care less. However, you seem to be hell-bent on convincing others to not play this game/support the devs, using arguments concerning rough spots on the game that could be very easy to smoothen. With a confirmed update on its way, perhaps you can hope that the devs conform their game to meet your every need. Until then, don't fill this thread with toxicity about a game that has absolute tons of potential that just hasn't been utilized yet.

I agree! Not perfect but what game is? I have spent hours and hours playing and feel the $4.99 was well worth it.

Before it gets perceived as something its not, the following is a genuine question and not meant as an insult, to demean or devalue an opinion or anything negative in any shape or form. It merely is a perspective I would benefit from attempting to understand more and have a personal curiosity about. It will be in relation to another posters particular statement here but it is one I've seen before from others but not one I quite understand.

Now that I hope I've made it clear that I mean no ill intent, on to the crux of it.

Why would someone look for a refund after they have reached a certain point with a game?
Particularly if one has reached the rank of General. Which, I don't know for sure but is that the highest rank?
It most certainly equates to a substantial amount of time invested.
And if that rank relates to a senior position on the leaderboard, that would equate to a certain mastering of the game, which again would take time.

I would certainly understand being disappointed with a game early on. As to whether that early disappointment equates to a required refund, I'm not really sure about, but what I fail to understand is how reaching a level of the game that would be high and then looking for a refund seems reasonable.
Particularly so as that level would equate to a substantial time investment which surely wouldn't be possible unless one was enjoying the experience to some degree, whether it be in a large or small way.

Also, why would time investment not be considered value for money anyway as the amount is such a small number at five dollars anyway.

To make an analogy, if one ordered a pint of beer and discovered it was a bit flat or a bit stale, wouldn't one simply stop drinking it there and then and look for a refund or replacement at that stage rather than drinking all of it or most of it and then looking for a refund or a replacement by saying the last one was flat or stale?

Am I seeing it wrong or is there a reason that I haven't yet recognised?

And again, just to clear, it is not meant in any ill or derogatory way to anybody. I merely think an explanation would give me a better understanding.
Thank in advance if anybody chooses to explain.

    strategy/team play

Just a reply to Best75 comment about crap team members - what sort of stuff do you mean? Genuinely asking. I am sure I have been a pretty crap team member in any number of the multiplayer missions I've taken on, because my tank gets blown up by one shot so often.

I'm driving the Type 1 (early on the advice was to go with the Type 1 and I've by now spent so many upgrade points that I am going to stick with it - have upgraded everything once or twice, and the gun and engine three times).

Maybe we (the people on this forum) could have a discussion of strategy for multiplayer?

Because my Type 1 is so weak, I tend to look at the radar and try to go around the enemy, either approach from the flank or the rear. I get off as many shots as I can to support the team (who always have really fast, really powerful tanks compared to mine). The other strat I try is to go for high ground, and snipe. If it's in the towns, I try to use my speed to sneak around and hit the enemy tanks - but auto aim is a real problem as I often find my gun moves off target and I get fragged in that split second.

I often 'frag' between 1 and 3 enemy tanks - sometimes I even manage this without being destroyed myself. But I get fragged just as often - and I understand this is bad for the team in multiplayer as I wreck the stats.

Anyway - hoping this post engenders some conversation around strategy, and what experienced players like yourself would consider helpful in a team setting. I play every day and I am always trying to do better. Very much hoping that it doesn't engender harsh criticism and the likes of this 'refund' thread.

I've been using the Type 1 pretty frequently, so much so that I've become a little bored with the play style it caters to. But it has by far earned me the most points, in the quickest way possible.

The Type 1 murders in Capture or KOH - the speed allows it to get into zones quicker and zoom in circles to avoid fire. This brings up my biggest irritation about teammates - being stuck on a team that doesn't understand that the number of tanks in a zone / ability to hold zones wins the match is frustrating. DO NOT SIT ON A HILL AND SNIPE. Or worse...don't sit PARKED 5 FEET FROM THE ZONE.

The three assets of the Type 1 (or any of the lighter tanks) are speed, agility and reload cycle. Timing your shoots between the reload times of larger tanks, plus anticipating when they will take a shot and quickly dodging are keys to taking down stronger opponents. Practicing driving in circles while keeping the turret focused on a central target is also a good strategy - larger turrets cannot track you running in a circle. If they are smart they will wait for you to circle around before taking a shot, but before that time you should be able to get off 2 shots (hopefully as a critical to their turret).

The biggest danger is low health and having a tank simply back into to destroy you. Better players know this and will wait for your health to drop below 50% and simply ram you. I actually renamed my user to "100%" to try to trick a few of the dimmer players.

Also, try to hit Tiger's and KV1 from the rear armor where weakest (while they are distracted shooting another tank). Try to take them of from the front is usually suicide as A. An upgraded heavy can usually 1 shot a Type 1 B. It will take forever to wear them down through the front armour (at least 7-8 shots).

As mentioned in another post, the T34 or an upgraded Sherman are pretty good all rounders. You have relative speed to get into zones quickly, relatively good damage per shot to snipe and light enough to climb hills that are inaccessible to heavier tanks.

The low profile of the T34 also gives you the advantage of getting under the gun level of Tigers (biggest reason I hate that tank). You can hit them but they'll just fire over your head.

In terms of earning points the quickest - simply play KOH or Zone and capture as many zones as possible for the longest time. Don't worry about kills / deaths. Even on losing team, you can easily earn 1000+ points for 3 minutes of play (capture games are generally shorter, which I find a virtue - Deathmatches are 10 minutes, most of which will be spent driving for each inevitable death).

If anyone disagrees with me, would love to hear! All the above has worked pretty well for me - but I run into players that have great skills (hope they are here and willing to share!)

On the topic of improvements...I had a few I would like to see

(Sorry for multiple posts - just sitting idle at work).

    Radar -

The fact that it displays your location (even orientation of turret) regardless of activity is at best unrealistic and at worst a hinderance towards tactical / sneaking gameplay. If it could be tweaked to only show your location on the map while firing, sighted by other tanks of opposing team, capturing a zone - I think that would be a boon to players that use tactics of flanking / sniping / using terrain. As is, the only way to be "sneaky" is to cross fingers that you are facing a team that doesn't pay close attention to radar.

Game Types / Quick Quit Penalty -

Almost everyone seems to want the ability to chose game type - but I understand why the devs did what they did (at least I think I so). The Zone games give far greater rewards and in essence are rewards in themselves (outweighed by the frequency of deathmatches). However, when one realizes this, they can simply cycle the game until they roll a zone game. If there was some sort of point penalty to a player that quits a game under 10 seconds of joining, perhaps that would curb the "exploit".

Tank Type Cycle Per Game -

Many vehicle combat games now use this, pick five tanks in a order of appearance and upon each death the next tank in sequence is used. This would add an additional strategic level of picking your "sequence" and force a change up in play style (no more full teams of maxed KV1's).

    Teams / Players -

Maybe this is too hard to implement, but being able to put players in game into a contact list for future games would be nice. The NOVA / Modern Combat games are a good example of this done well.

    The Train -

    F*** that thing

I just get really mad during KOTH games when my allies won't get into the hill and sometimes they just stay back while I am the only one trying to capture the hill. This also happeneds to CTB games where I am the only one trying to capture a base. That being said I think maybe they just don't understand what KOTH and CTB games and the game should tell them

Knew the feeling. They play every game like it's a deathmatch.

    Super powers ??

What's with the tanks in MP that can go sideways, rapidly, like they're a futuristic hover craft?? They don't steer left or right, they just glide sideways super fast. Anyone seen that? I've seen it three or four times....

Also, is there a heavy tank that can fire twice in quick succession? I've been blown away a couple of times like that.

Aside from that I'm enjoying playing KOTH and CTB since the previous comments.

I've noticed that too - along with 3-4 direct hits (as confirmed by audio) taking target down by any percentage. Seems to be lag issue - but I'm surprised the game performs as well as it does in MP.

My favorite glitch is when you get stuck inside of a hill with only your turret showing - makes you into a small immobile bunker that is tough to hit.

    Invincible

Saw a KV1 under the handle "100%" (I see a lot of tanks using that, it's almost like "Player") that could run faster than my maxed out M18, and had double my rate of fire, and I hit that KV1 four times at point blank range in the treads with no damage. He then blew me away with one shot when I had 100%, and he hit me in the front where my armor should be strongest. I have also seen other tanks that could fire three-round bursts and were also faster than my M18, and none of them were a Type 1. It makes the game less fun.

To be clear, on paper the only tank that's faster than an M18 is a Type 1, but only barely...no way should a KV1, maxed out or not, be faster than my maxed out M18.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no noob, I only have three tanks left to fully upgrade, all the rest are maxed out, so I know how to play...there's something odd going on.

In a final note, what is the rank with the "tank image"? It's taking forever to get there, I'm only about halfway. I think it's 'Supreme Commander." Are there unknown upgrades after that point, maybe?

I am about 90% to the "Supreme Commander" ranking and I am hoping you get something for it. Probably not though. Waiting for the next update and hopefully more tanks!

Reached Supreme Commander last week, and you don't get anything special once you reach it. Kind of a bummer.

Yeah, whenever something seems to be "strange" it usually involves a maxed KV1. Bad code?
