    Hi everybody,

I did not want to post something that has no actual useful information, but I really feel that I need to rant a little, vent somehow all the frustration about waiting for the update of the game to get approved.

While going well over three weeks now since I have the build ready, the 1.0.1 version of the game is still "waiting for review". I understand there are bigger issues out there right now and I know a game update doesn't mean much, but I can't help but feel that this is really hurting the game.

I am starting to think that the submission of my app has actually been forgotten somehow. This, coupled with the fact that I already have version 1.0.2 ready (with support for the latest iPhones), makes me think about re-submitting a new build. But I am really afraid that it will start the process and the long wait all over again.

On another point, I had a report of the game running fine on iPhone 6, but if there is someone reading this that has played the game (as it is now) on iPhone 6 or 6+ and can post some feedback, I would really like to hear from them. Many thanks!

Latest update is out. Hopefully I won't get CTS from using the joystick controls on my iPad anymore lol.

    Battle Riders 1.0.1

    The update is finally available!

    Battle Riders 1.0.1:
    - Improved arrows and joystick controls on all devices
    - Minor gameplay improvements
    - Added support for iPod Touch 4 and iPad 1

As always, any and all feedback is more than welcome!

Also I would really like to hear from anyone playing the game on iPhone 6 or 6+. I know the game gets scaled on these devices (at least until update 1.0.2 will become available) but I am curious if there are any issues.

Im checking for a racing game and this one have my attention among other racing games (mostly are commons). As my review, the game is great!, the graphics are well done! Sounds and SFX are great too! Love every seconds of the game, also it already update now. You deserves my $1. Thanks for making game!

PS: I'm a huge fan of Death Race. This game is very similar to that.

    Improve more! :)

Going to rate it soon :)

The controls are top now! Hopefully your great work is recognized and is featured on the best new updates section.

Also out of curiosity, do you plan on continuing to self publish your games?

A few imps about the game.

Racing to be the best is great, but racing and shooting to wreck cars while winning is just awesome. I have spent more time wrecking cars than actually racing. There is a thing that misses in this game. Multiplayer! This game is perfect for some serious shooting-wrecking cars race.

For the graphics, it is surely isn't Asphalt 8, but the cars are well done. I totally recommend this game.

    Good job

I noticed the new update added support for iPod 4, but the game still crashes for me on startup. Fix this, please!

i just posted here to say, that after the update the controls are perfect! the arrows are where they should be, and the weapons are now much easier to activate!
PS, i bought the game when it came out, and i'm happy to see that you are working to make it better! not to mention the *coming soon* car.
Congrats Valentin! i hate P2W Asphalt, and the futuristic tilt-only / online-only racer. Yours is my favorite Ios racer! Here's to hoping we can see a wipeout style from you in the future!

Sorry to hear it. I specifically tested the build to run on iPod Touch 4th Gen. I have identified the exact problem that was causing the crash and removed it. I will test again the build on a clean install from the AppStore. But in the meantime could you please make sure you have the latest version of the game installed; or better yet, remove the game and download it again from the Store. Many thanks!

    Thank you for the feedback!

As for self publishing, I can't say that I've made the best choices throughout the development of this game, but I'm not crossing this as one of the biggest mistakes, just yet. I still need a few more months to clearly see if the game gains traction or not. If it doesn't, then a publisher would've been better. :)

I just tested the game on iPod Touch 4th Gen, with a clean install from the AppStore and it works perfectly.

Granted, the first time you start the game the first load takes some time, as the intro is loaded (due to the device's slow access to memory), but after that everything works great. Please make sure you run the latest version of the game.

I also wanted to give some insight as to why developers choose to make their games available only for the latest versions of iOS, as this is related. They are forced to impose these limits in order to restrict access for players with older devices, devices which are simply not capable of running the game.

For example, a lot of games require iOS 7 to specifically restrict access for the iPod Touch 4th Gen and older devices. Also, mentioning that the game does not run on a device in the description of the game has almost no effect as anybody rarely reads that. :)

For Battle Riders, as I created the game especially for iOS, I used the possibility of disabling certain features on older devices to make the game run, but even so I ran into some issues with the first version of the game.

Banner Saga's minimum iOS version requirement is 7.1, not 8.0. That doesn't invalidate your point at all, but just thought I'd mention it to avoid any confusion for people who might be thinking about getting Banner Saga.

You are right. Thank you for correcting me! I took the liberty of editing my previous post also. I have an iPad on 7.0, and an iphone on 8.0 but I think that I'll update the ipad to play it on. I really wish now that I would've updated to 7.1 at the right time.

You and me both! I didn't want to update my old iPad 2 to even iOS 7 but now with all the limitations I would be glad to do it. I guess now I've lost the 7.1 option entirely. :-(

Might be time for to buy a new iPad air 2 I suppose... Now I have a justification.

Thanks for the control update. I STILL wish I could move the arrows around as I find the right arrow just a tad too far to the right to be super comfortable for long gaming sessions but it is a big improvement.

That was about the longest wait I've ever seen for an update... I can understand you being upset about it. I started wondering if Apple had managed to lose it "in the cloud" or whatever... I guess maybe iOS 8 made you and your game a second-class citizen for a while. ;-)

Also thanks for the info about iOS restrictions. Now I know it's iPod users that are screwing me and my old iPad 2 over... lol

Using a new device now, and I've had a chance to play through the game. Love the game, but the machine gun sounds feel a bit hollow. Other than that minor complaint, great work here! #

This was a real fun game to play on a 5c. Very smooth controls and no crashing (at least on running the app). It reminded me a lot of an old pc game called "mega race". The developer made a racing gem on this one!
