The game has Game Center achievements (63) and a Wrecks Leaderboard. I will definitely look into adding mfi controller support in a future update.
Wow! Great game! Another gem from a single guy developer. Love vehicular combat games and this is a really good one. Great graphics and I love the vehicle designs. I looked at the ones to come and there's some good looking car designs there, love the 6 wheeled cars! Look forward to driving them. I'm not bothered about arenas as I'm always rubbish at them, but that's just me. My only minor gripe is the joystick! I've got big thumbs so I slip off it occasionally. Well done! Minor suggestion cars that look that good need a V8 muscle car sound. Just a thought.
Amazing game. Hard to believe it was made by only one person. Congrads. Good graphics, good controls, and perfect difficulty which is really hard to achieve in a racing game. Support this man and buy this game now. Hope you do well and look forward to seeing more games in the future
Really enjoying this game. One request, I would really like to see two meters that show how much boost and how much ammo you have. Also upgradeable weapons might add a little more to the game. Thanks for making a great game!
Great to see this doing well. A couple of people are getting close to my "wrecks" score, but then I've been playing this since around the 16th of August. My favourite combo - rocket launcher + raygun. Let 'em overtake, blast the ****ers. Oh yeah! And thanks again Vali for a flippin' excellent high-speed blast of a game.
Well done. Low price, no IAP and just the right amount of depth and fun for an on-the-go iOS title. I'm glad I picked this one up.
Come on guys. Rate the game, here and the App Store. Good reviews may lead to more sales and looking at this forum I think we all like it. My new favourite game of the moment! I'm looking forward to what tripe TA gives as game of the week instead of this!
This is such a great game. If anybody is on the fence, consider this a push. Support this developer. Like a lot of people have said, it has the perfect amount of depth. It's just an all around great title.
Admittedly, the only reason I didn't check out Battle Riders earlier was because I was trying to cut down on iOS purchases after buying a ton of apps to catch up from the couple of months I missed out on. That said, there's way too much praise in this thread to ignore...so I finally caved. After playing about 30 minutes, my reaction still remains the same: "There's no way in hell this was made by a single person". The graphics are top-notch, the controls are flawless, there's tons and tons of content and unlockables and best of all? It's IAP-free. I can't recommend this enough. Truly, truly surprised. One thing though (and I believe psj already covered this, but I'm not sure if it was answered). Could we please have some customizable controls. The button placement makes both the joystick and button configurations a little tough to handle on iPad.
Alright I've been fence sitting on this one, I guess I must finally stand on one side or the other.im going with...buy. @developer, you can thank metalcasket for my purchase, his impressions finally pushed me over the edge
This game is really cool...blown away it was made by only one person. I would really dig if there was some sort of multiplayer.
Thank you everyone for your kind words! It feels great to see your work being appreciated like this. Regarding the controls, as this has been discussed quite a bit in the upcoming thread of the game (thanks again oscar123967 and others): improvements to the layout, especially for ipad, are one of the biggest changes for the next update. I'm not sure about customizable buttons, but I will improve the current control schemes and I might add new ones (to suit everyone). About the sync between devices: unfortunately, no, the game doesn't have the feature at this time. Both this and the mfi controller support depend on the game engine I am using, which is Unity ® Pro, and I will certainly look into adding support for both of these features. As for multiplayer, I am already looking into local head-to-head as this is something I might be able to tackle.
I also wanted to mention that I try to post all important press coverage the game gets (including videos) on the game's Facebook page, if anyone is interested. https://www.facebook.com/BattleRidersGame
Being able to actually -move- the buttons and joystick would be great. The placement on the iPad is uncomfortable... At least for me. A lot of games allow you to move and resize the controls... Something like this would be great. Also I wasn't aware there was another thread discussing the game over here. Didn't mean to repeat the requests.
