    Hey there,

Our first iPad game was finalized and submitted yesterday, and will hopefully be featured with the grand opening of the iPad app store.

It is a pong clone featuring a variety of weapons, it's official thread can be found here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=962733#post962733

However, we want to hear from you guys what kind of weapons you'd like to see! If we decide to use them for a future update, we will send you a promo code to receive the game for free!

    So fire away :D

there could be a gravity switch power up, so that for a short amount of time, all the balls the opponent tries to bounce back are drawn back to him, like a magnet. so hell have to keep bouncing the ball to and fro until the power up wears off, and you can relax!

first off, will this game be available for iPhone and iPod Touch? It looks amazing and looks like it could have some serious potential.

You could incorporate: a weapon that makes the opponents stick/racket smaller.

A protective barrier for your goal, ability to shoot spikes for a short time, and a freeze time power up. Your welcome!

For the first part I answered in the main thread.

And of course paddle shrinking/growing were already planned! They're pong and breakout game staples :D

well then you 0could add a switch that inverts everything. You have to hit the ball outside of the screen to get it to the other side. For example: you have to hit the ball out of the left side of the screen to get it to the opponent and they have to hit it out of the right side of the screen to get it back to you.

    I have 3 ideas.

1 a switch that temporarily makes your opponents paddle disappear.

2 a switch that temporarily reverses all movements that the opponent makes to their paddle. I think this is different then the above poster , but apologies if this is what they meant.

    3. A switch that slows the ball on your side but speeds up balls on the opponents side.

the could be an extra ball powerup that when hit, produces a ball that if you directly hit it with your paddle, you automatically lose. same applies to opponent.

have a rapid fire machinegun powerup to your racket.

    how about....

What about when you hit the ball it splits into multiple balls and every ball that goes past the paddle get a point?

Well some of the power ups are already in the game, such as extra balls, protective barriers, and paddle changes.

However, the Slow Motion Switch and Machine gun will be used!

    So congrats Aspargusman and pluto6!

    Keep the ideas coming guys!

    Here are my ideas:

    1. a missile launcher that helps you to destroy the objects.
    2. a special ball that multiples into multiple balls when hit by you so the enemy gets confused which one to hit.
    3. a special power-up when hit, stops time and allow you to use your finger and remove all the incoming enemy objects.

I'm not sure if I'll be using your exact idea Akame, but #2 inspired me, so promo for you! :D

What about a space warp where the ball gets sucked in and randomly emerges on your opponents side of the field?

What about the freeze time one I posted that's practically the same thing as a Slow Motion switch!

Edit: read some other people's posts and they're all adding onto my idea!!! Oh well...

I love this idea! Congrats, I'll send you a promo as soon as I am able to!

I don't really consider freezing time the same thing as slow motion, so sorry but I liked slow motion more!

And as for your other ideas of protective barrier and shooting spikes, they are both included in the game already (although they are rockets instead of spikes). I'd love to hear more ideas, though :D

The Shield and the Electric Ball. The Electric Ball freezes the other player's paddle, and if they have the shield on, they aren't affected.

Well it looks like at least 2 of the suggested weapons will be featured in the game at launch time: the Vortex and Machine Gun! Thanks for all the suggestions.

    And keep the ideas coming!

    Will do!

Reverse: For about 10 seconds you control the other player's paddle and they control yours. Basically, all that happens is that you switch sides. You still lose if the ball goes out when you are playing as your opponent, you still win if you make your opponent lose the ball while they are playing as you.

A power up that will add a golden puck thing, if you get it in the other person's goal you get 2 points
