Bitter end in multiplayer does offer some hard core strategies and requires more thinking ahead of time , at least on German side , because once allies get air support you better be well entrenched and have enough VP generating around, from there on it's all about surviving until end and retreating. Luck of the draw also spices up strategy part, as you can get some really crazy combination at the beginning which can give huge advantage if used right.
HUGE NEWS!!! HUGE NEWS!!! http://pockettactics.com/2013/06/20/pt-exclusive-battle-of-the-bulge-is-coming-to-iphone/ The only gripe I had for BotB, which sports the PERFECT async play was that it was iPad only. This is HUGE for me!!!
Wow this is entirely out of the blue! Volume 2 of the Crisis in Command series is set to release in the coming weeks and its NOT El Alemein, it's Drive to Moscow! http://pockettactics.com/2013/08/13/revealed-shenandoahs-drive-on-moscow-coming-in-weeks/#more-10829 El Alamein is being worked on feverishly but it sounds like balancing the game is proving to be harder then initially anticipated.
Count me in.Although i want El Alamein much more than this one...at the end it's much better then waiting for another couple of months without the moscow replacement.
Shenandoah have posted some new infos about the upcoming volumes of their Crisis in Command series on their blog. Here we go: - Drive on Moscow Design Diary #1: Order of Battle - Drive on Moscow Design Diary #2: Building on Bulge - Developer’s Notes: El Alamein Very interesting to read, highly recommend! And take a look at the huge map of Drive to Moscow - awesome!!
Interested, but waiting for a sale or price drop... New content should warrant a price drop... Otherwise no dice from me.
Battle of the Bulge is now a universal app and is on sale for six dollars! http://www.pockettactics.com/news/ios-news/smaller-front-battle-bulge-goes-universal-2-0-update/
I should be be able to download this onto my iPhone 5 at no additional cost, right? I'm only asking because when I open up the iTunes app page on my iPhone, there's price tag rather than the "downloaded" icon. EDIT: There's a propagation issue with Apple which is why it doesn't show as a purchase on my iPhone. However, I was able to download at no extra cost. FYI.
Not asking anyone to give anything away free but what is in the developer guide? I'm mean is it a strategy guide or a developer diary of sorts about making the game and what not. I'm interested but with no real description of what I'm buying I don't want to make the jump.

Theres a nice interview with Eric Lee Smith over at PT, it affirmed my belief that Shenadoah is a quality developer out to produce quality wargames instead of freemium shovelware. They also treat their employees with integrity also, increasingly rare in this day and age. http://www.pockettactics.com/features/hour-shenandoahs-eric-lee-smith-dont-need-hits-succeed/
I bought it to give the devs a bit more support and I'll sit down with it over the weekend for a comprehensive read.
2.99 I only did it to support the studio a bit more. The enclosed strategy guide in the update is free though!
