aboot iWesnoth Guys. Good to see Wesnoth lives again on iPhones and iPads. Been skimming the new developer's efforts on the official Wesnoth forums and progress and feedback has been frequent and speedy. The developer has been friendly and promises to support the project "for the long term". I hope so, as the new apps are asking for $3.99 apiece for each version (not a universal app). Yes, we have all heard the promises before, but at any rate... The forum thread can be browsed here and feedback left for Dailin (the new developer). He does not seem to keep tabs of this forum but has otherwise been very communicative. http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=37879
Go for iWesnoth, young man. It is recommended that you purchase the new app "iWesnoth". It is listed as the same price as the first "Battle for Wesnoth" app but has the added feature of "developer support". Hahah! (but hope parenthood is going well for the old developer. anyways...) The new version gives access to add-on campaigns and seems to utilize the newer Wesnoth graphics and rules sets. Dev also says he will implement any nice UI tweaks the audience suggests, including the nice ideas from the old version.
That's curious, I wonder is the developer will comment about Battle For Wesnoth's removal. Did he give in to iWesnoth?
Can anyone comment on how this runs on 6S with iOS 10 please? Never knew this was out there, would have picked it up years ago if I did. I know it's going to die with the 32bit App-pocalypse but as I have no intention of updating to iOS 11 any time soon, I can still get some mileage out of it - just need to know before it's removed.
