I think the *pissing honey* bit officially takes over for the "crEam in da pantZ" reaction of gleefulness Since you like, nay Love, FF Tactics.... THIS: http://www.tacticsogregame.com/ *cue singing angels, shooting stars, doves, dolphins and unicrons" Should be THE game you are looking forward to now. The precursor to FF Tactics...but better(!). And now they are making it 5 levels of super-better than it was. Which is....really really good. AND AND the original team and director behind both games are at the helm of development. Thats a honey-pisser if I ever heard one! But its for PSP =( About Wesnoth and U, I would definitely recommend you give it another whirl when your must-play backburner winds down...if you can't stand the vanilla campaigns after your megaRun I'd suggest the off-beat campaigns like Ooze, Darkness or Under the Burning Suns. Those threw lots of new things at me and stand out to me in particular because of it. *edited for excessive comma-age!
I just tried, and yes Yes YES you can warmonger to your very own tunes. You'll have to have your music already playing, then simply start the app. Dude, its 99 cents for a jillion hours of gameplay. GO FORTH...and enjoy =)
Another question (sorry, I'm a total nooB).... When I move a unit, there is a number on the ground (e.g. 40%) in orange. What does that mean?
Ahh, that lil' number is your D-fense. You can also see it as your evasion rating: In other words, the higher the percentage of the unit occupying that square of terrain, the lower the chance the enemy has of hitting said unit. Units have different D-fense ratios depending on the terrain. For instance most units are at a solid 60 or 70% in a castle or village. Elves, as leafy folk, get a big bonus for standing in forest. NOW GO CONQUER!!!
This is ridiculous. Questioning whether to get this app or not is like questioing yourself whether to buy a new computer that's on sale for .99. Okay, that might be a little bit extreme, but for the ridiculously absurd amount of quality and quantity you get in this game, .99 is like stealing a bank. And no, THAT wasn't meant to be extreme.
Strange. I remember this game being 99 cents for the longest time... yet it's on sale now? Still waiting for fast app switching. =)
I really hope he adds the Wesband scenario next update, if there ever is one. It's by far my favorite for Sp or Mp play because it's like playing tabletop without the trouble of finding a dm. Seriously, download the home computer version and play it for yourself. It's awesome and I could use a player two for it.
Okay, the people have spoken! We are doing the final testing on the Palm Pre and Android ports now, but we will come back to the iPhone version soon, most likely adding the above plus Game Center.
Someone already explained why this isn't likely, too much art to be redone. Remember it's a port. Though I'd be happy with at least hd icon. This game is so good. It's one of the few that has stayed in my iPhone after all this time.
Ftw!!! *Mouth Drops* The Wesband Campaign has been on my wishlist for BoW on iTouch since BoW was released. This news and implementing Game Center is SWEET! Major thank you Kyle!!! I hope your sales continue to prosper so we can continue to get updates like these. I'll be sure to continue updating the well deserved 5 star rating/review after every update.
I too would be OK with an overhauled Retina interface (although a complete Retina overhaul would be preferred, especially at the game's price tag.) It's quite fatiguing pixel-doubled on the iTouch/iPhone.
Gawds bless this man and his minions! Wow, the Pre store, too? You are a champion, Sir. Surprised you're not tapped out of resources with the card game closing in on release tho!
...At the game's price tag of...99 cents? Wow, I been outta the States for a few years but you guys are getting hit FAR harder than I had imagined
I remember Ogre Tactics from the days of old. Is it too much to ask for them to make the PSP games PS3 compatible so I could play it, or netter yet, release an iPhone version. As for those two campaigns I have played them both. I think I've played every campaign (or at least tried) that come with the game and a few downloadable ones on top of those.
