Thanks. Just need 5 more (yes, I'm updating this as I get closer to Moneko ^^) This game suddenly gets crazy hard at level 19. Guess I'm gonna have to replay earlier levels to level up stuff. As I am it's impossible.
Ya it does get pretty hard. I think the priority should be to upgrade your money production so that you can pump out more dudes! Also upgrade the cannon's power and recharge. Collecting medals from stages is also really important because you get a set bonus to certain things. For example I have 71% increased money production from the medals I got in stage 1-7. The higher the quality of medal(ie. bronze, silver, gold), the higher the percentage. I'm on stage 40 of chapter 2 and hit a bit of a wall so I'm going to go back and get the medals I missed. Btw I finally got Moneko! -_^
Are the medals just awarded randomly? I can't seem to find any pattern to how I get them or whether they're bronze, silver or gold.

Yes they appear to be random rather than based on performance so you're just going to have to keep trying till you get one. They drop less frequently in the next chapters as well. I've gotten all the medals in chapters 1 and 2 of various qualities so far.
