Yea, it's just bad players that litter the bottom of the rankings. There are no bots in the game beyond the tutorial level, 100% certain. The usernames with numbers after are the default names if the player does not select their own. So every time you sink one of them, you can have the pleasure of knowing there is some sad confused child on the other end who just had his toy boat asploded.
Hahaha, I may be betraying my age but a Dad's Army quote comes to mind ... "They don't like it up 'em!". Suck it up sugar, sometimes you're going to lose, the game provided you a challenge and you buckled. It's not P2W by any means, enjoying this a lot.
Yeah, I am playing it for 6 months and so into it... Game is perfectly balanced, mortars were a bit OP but I think they nerfed it a bit. Still cant figure it out how to play enforcer, but other 4 are really great!
