Um. As noted in my exchange with Pip, Panzer Corps is somewhat delayed again. Don't expect much until after the summer. --DotComCTO
This is sadly correct. It's been more of a technical challenge than we were hoping, but I am working feverishly on it, and hope to have the bulk of the game running smoothly on iPad within a couple of weeks. I've been tweeting the highs and lows, the glory and anguish, the... well, you get the idea Ran my 1st cross-platform PBEM game last week, so we are definitely getting close! But then we will be working on the UI and the iPad experience for sure. Cheers Pip
Either I have tremendously improved my tactical skills or Battle Academy became easier to play. I have now won 4 missions in its Western Desert campaign on my first go... I even won two of the Normandy skirmish missions. Amazing. Anyone played the expansion IAPs? Which ones are better?
The game hasn't gotten any easier, although the last update did add an extra difficulty level to give more options for play. The game does tend to teach reasonably solid tactics, so I imagine you're just more of a steely-eyed veteran now As for IAPs (and while I long for the shiny red phone boxes of Sealion) I would say that if you are looking for a challenge, then Market Garden is both tough and has the added decisions of how to conserve your units to carry over to subsequent missions. But don't say I didn't warn you Cheers Pip
Totally off-topic, but does it bother anybody else that 'slitherine' in the title of this thread is not capitalized?! I've followed this thread for the past year+ and it bugs me every time I see it. Lol! Second off-topic...the thread was started on my birthday. On-topic...despite the typo that's been driving me nuts, this is an excellent game and worth every penny. I have all the DLC. I just wish I had more time to play. /rant. Carry on!
Well it's hard to say, but I would guess that Sealion and France are going to the the easier of the current expansions. Although as I say, the new 3-level difficulty means you can scale things to play exactly as you like - so get them all! Cheers Pip
I like your answer, as I was leaning towards getting them all too. I especially like that no further downloads are needed to unlock the IAP expansions (I bought Husky when I reinstalled Battle Academy the other day), which means I don't need to keep clearing space each time I buy a new expansion. Even better is that all the scenarios are available to play right from the start, so I do not have to worry about losing my progress when I delete Battle Academy. Downloading... EDIT Downloaded. That was quick, because no further installation needed.
Battle Academy is FINALLY on sale this week according to Pocket Tactics! $10 so grab it now if you've been waiting on the sidelines.
Is there any likelihood that the interface will be improved in future now that this has been out for awhile?
Maybe you might want to share with the developer what you think is wrong with the interface, seeing as how they are working on Battle Academy 2...
So when will battle academie 2 released? should i wait for that or buy battle academie 1? the price drop is a little unexpected lol.
BA2 is in development, but we don't have a release date yet, so it's not going to be any time in the near future. Which leads to only one answer for your question: buy BA now! Cheers Pip
' Definitely. I'd suggest starting a thread on the Slitherine forums with your feedback to make it simpler to go back and forth. Cheers Pip
