I'm still saving up for an ipad, but I bought the game anyway.

Can you get the extra costumes with in-game currency?

Is this worth picking up even if I already own IB:2?

  6. Never mind the file size, my only complaint is the crashing

My suggestion is to pick this up, but not downloading to an update

The battle mechanics have a tinge of a similarity to ib2. Get it, especially for 99c.

In light of discussing the game, I just put two hours in and I think it's pretty fun. It might be a little difficult though(or I'm just not very good). I wouldn't say that the game is really pressing me to spend money to make the game easier as each failure you still get experience and each run still has a great level of satisfaction and entertainment.

Also, I know it's not directly related and that someone else has posted the actual, expanded size of this app, but check out my other thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=134537 which has a list of app sizes, including batman Arkham lockdown ^^.

    I think so.

I have and really like IB2 also.

This game is similar in play style but it's Batman, incredible graphics, fun battle mechanic and upgrades.

For a measly dollar it's highly recommended.

This is one of those games where people will either a) find the battles repetitive and thus no fun, and call it grinding or b) really find the battles fun and satisfying even after many repeats. I'm in the later category, I find the battles are plain fun and satisfying. I've had to replay several levels over and over again, but as stated doing so you always gain XP and the ability to upgrade your gear and abilities, so for me its not really like grinding per say.

I'm glad I grabbed this for a buck, its much easier to overlook the minor shortcomings and just have fun with it. I think I'd be slightly more critical if I dropped the full price.

I think the game could have been much better if they had incorporated a touch based exploration system like IB. Sure it would have made this a "rip-off" but the missions in this game seem silly and (for me) break any kind of story trying to be told.

But then again the battles are plain fun, so really I can't complain.

I really waited for this sale so i can get it for my wife's ipad only to find out it's still not in the PH appstore, and my US account has zero balance (more like a few cents).

  17. This game goes on sale quite often, I'm sure you can buy it on sale as a christmas gift for your wife. ;)

That is the exact definition of grinding.

I don't mind grinding, but call it what it is. Don't pretend like it's not there.
