This is definitely a fun game. Got it this week and found myself playing w/o being able to stop very easily.

That said, I think it needs a bit of balancing. The beginning of the first map is pretty slow and easy while the end is very difficult. Part of the problem is I keep spending so much money either rebuilding towers or building up their defenses that I have little left over for upgrading the towers' offenses. In the later rounds, it constantly feels like I'm fighting a losing battle (even if I manage to keep my towers at around the same level, the ships pile up).

Another thing is the road rubble - I thought it was a nice touch at first, but after a while, when my roads have become all spread out, the rubble just gets annoying. It's sometimes hard enough fitting the road pieces in the holes, but having the rubble just makes it aggravating. Maybe have each square of rubble disappear after one round (not sure how long it stays now, but it seems like a few rounds)?

One last thing - if you lose a round, it might be nice to be able to go back to a previous one instead of having to restart the entire map (since often if you lose a round, there's a good chance it's because you don't have enough money, which means you'll never win it).

Anyway, a nice game - I like the combination of action and strategy.
