Nope, I will admit that it's not that much, but you can see further down the street on the ipt4, and you're terribly wrong on the rest, The buildings on VCS are just square boxes, mostly 1 or 2 floors tops, fewer cars and almost no pedestrians, and the character models are even simpler than in the original GTA3 and even less FX than in the ipt4 version etc etc. Besides, the high resolution itself can make the game perform slower if the hardware is challenged. That alone could be the only reason why the psp performs so well, cause you can see every single pixel on the screen, that's how low the res is, which it was ok at the time. But regarding your last line, yes, I agree that it's poorly optimised and that the ipt4 should be able to handle it.

I speak for alot of us here with jailbroken iPhone 4. Get that guy who modified Bastion to run succesfully on our phone now, tie him up, torture him, and get his ass to spill the beans on what files he modified to get the game running!
I also played VCS to check it again, and to me It looks ok for the psp, but still worse than the ipt4 version, you might think it looks better because the low resolution doesn't show all the flaws or the simplicity of the models like the retina display does. That's why games like MGS Peace Walker HD "looks" even worse than the pixelated psp version, the pixels are part of the charm IMO. Well that's my last post on that off-topic convo, apologies! And yes, I call shenanigans on the guy who said you could play bastion on the ipt4 with just "a couple files", comes here and insults people to later walk away and taking all our hopes and dreams with him
Just a quick question: How do you save the game? I exited the game after building a forge the last time, and when I went back it took me to the part right before I built the forge.
Bastion (universal) So, the iTunes description says compatible with iPod Touch 3rd gen under 'requirements', but says only iPad 2 and up, iPhone 4S and up or iPod 5th gen under 'description'. Which one should I believe!?
Wow. This game is incredible. The narrative.... It's like they recorded for every scenario. It's amazing the amount of dialogue I've heard for such specific occasions so far. Well done, SG.
I've never been so confused yet so amazed at the same time. I could tell this was a magical game from the second it started. Beautiful environments, outstanding narration, and most of all, it's actually fun. GOTY nominee right here.
Finished the game just now. One of the few games that gave me goosebumps when I completed it. There just aren't enough words to describe how good this game truly is. Definitely going through Bastion a second time Spoiler with my xp and weapons intact of course. 5/5. 10/10. 20/20. No matter how you rate it, this game is perfect.
