So can anyone confirm if it runs on the ipod 4G? I hate it when devs or the apple page has it listed as being compatible and then they change the requirements?
Bought it as soon as I saw "3rd gen. and up" on the article, lol.. Then, I read the update notes. Oh well: will have two new iDevices in the near future in any case.
For whatever reason the comment's section on the TA app isn't working.. (again). Just keeps trying to load. I've had this game on my watch list for a while because I've been on the fence on whether I should purchase it. This update was a nice reminder of it, may have to download Bastion. I guess all of these positive comments can't be wrong.
If I bought it, I wouldn't rate it a one star, but I wouldn't be a smart A@$ just because people are a little ticked when they saw the older devices being listed as compatible under requirements.
All I wanna know, is it worth getting? Is in an action RPG or an RPG that has loads and loads of talking and a few mission? Because I have bought a few RPGs in the past and I spent about 10 minutes trying to skip all the talking business Also I know it says it works on 4S but does it work on 16GB?
Just TOFTed for all of us iPhone 4-ers out there. Will be back with the lowdown or highup of iPhone 4 compatibility once this usually wonderful 100/100 mbs connection stops acting like anything but fast. Then you'll want Bastion. It's hard to find a full-sized RPG with LESS text and cut-scene dialogues, but at the same time, so much narrative... *mysterious smile*
I wouldn't call Bastion a RPG. It's an action/adventure game. Sure it has some RPG elements, but many games do these days. What makes Bastion unique is the excellent narration constantly describing what's going on in the game. That said, and while I really enjoyed Bastion on PC, I'm very skeptical it plays well on a small touch screen. At times the game becomes almost a twitch shooter that relies on tight controls...
Given that the developers themselves refer to Bastion as an "action role-playing game", I'm going to stick with that definition If there is anything the hordes of dual stick shooters and even competitive online first-person military shooters for iOS has proven to me, it is that precision twitch shooting can be done wonderfully well on iOS and smartphones in general. (In fact, it seems that ANY genre can be done well, with clever enough UI design, and proper control scheme implementations. The Android port of Vendetta Online, a twitch-based space simulation MMO (possibly one of the LAST genres anyone expected to see for portable touch-screen devices, and ostensibly one of the hardest to implement), kinda cemented this sentiment...) So, I remain naively hopeful In a few minutes, I will know (if Bastion actually works for iPhone 4. If not, I'll at least have done a part of the TA community and service, and now have an even better reason to upgrade )... Let's hope potentially bad news won't ruin that sentiment
Oh my lord. This is amazing news. Now to scroll through the last few pages to see how it plays on the smaller screen.
