TAKE MY MONEY!!! Ahhhhh this is my dream game for IOS!

I LOVE the GTA series but after playing since GTA 1, it's getting stale, I absolutely love apocalyptic settings, and I only buy games with multiplayer. I will play great single player games (Mad Max for example), but multiplayer adds a level of replay ability that to me, is essential. There's no other feeling better than out-smarting your fellow man, not artificial intelligence.

I honestly can't wait, I am going to be a junky playing this game 24/7 no matter what, the concept is so amazing that as long as the multiplayer works, I am in it no matter what!

The one thing I hope he adds a lot of work to is character customization. Considering the game is 3rd person, for me at least. Switching up how my guy looks helps keep the game fresh.

This is going to be the next Day Z!!!!

Honestly, IMO, the multiplayer aspect of this game is going to be the reason why this is better than the Wild.
For me, playing with other people creates experiences that are always original, and can produce a whirlwind of feelings or reactions, sometimes online play can be scary (such as being stalked by someone), sometimes it can be awesome (such as working in a perfect team with random people) and other times it can be straight up hilarious (such as watching someone accidentally get run over by another's dune buggy!).

It will most definitely be epic, I'm stuck on an iPad, so getting this in my pocket multiplayer would be freaking amazing. I hope TA does a feature on this in the future.....

So you receive the test flight email, and connect your device and accept the invitation. Any ideas as to why no app shows up in the list of games to beta test?

Thanks for the help. And thanks for the game!

  7. Sorry, I haven't released any builds in the past two weeks. With the amount of content I just added, sadly; I need a few more days to make sure it all works and syncs properly. Thanks for your patience.

Look forward to meeting you in the game world!

For iOS devices. About five or six bucks. I may run a new release discount. If you like loot, a massive open world, solo or multiplayer I have very little doubt your going to sink many hours in this world.

I can get Mfi support in there. I pretty much added every user request so far.

I'm definitely going to add more character customization. I just need to make sure this one model works properly.

While designing multiplayer games, 3rd person is extremely important. Or at least the character model involved. In first person, even though in your view you only see the hands and not the body, the other person MUST to be able to see your body. I knew this was going to be a multiplayer game from the beginning. Thats why I did it that way. Its easy to go from 3rd to 1st, but its extremely inefficient to do it the other way around. Its important for open world games to be designed with multiplayer in mind from the beginning.

Multiplayer 100% works. Online or LAN. Upto you. I agree with your view on multiplayer. In multiplayer, you really don't know what people are going to do. In my few beta tests, testers are very random. Almost immediately, your going to get shot at or attacked on sight. What players do is really up to them. I give them tools to do what they want. I personally like to team up and help your fellow man, but if I am near famished and have a head shot lined up...I hope you understand :D

The fact that 1 person can make this is insane. iOS gaming is really going places with Barren Roads and The Wild on the horizon. I love the fact that neither game will be IAP driven. Cross platform as well? Wow.

Oh I'm new to Testflight so I apologize if that sounded like a complaint. Take your time and thanks again for this!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but we'll there be any crafting to make your own house and such?

  12. Thanks!

No worries. Thanks for offering to help out!

I'm likely to squeeze more testers in later. I have got a number of testers set up for this upcoming build. I've added so much stuff lately, I haven't been able to send out a build as promised. Release date very soon. I hope before Feb/Mar. Got some other projects I need to move forward with as well.

No need to be sorry. I have a hard time finding answers in lengthy threads as well. What do you have in mind for crafting houses? I'm sure I can add some stuff. The biggest issue I foresee with crafting houses is that it might be difficult to carry those houses over when you play different multiplayer games. But, if you got some ideas, I'm open to adding features.

You don't have to give the player the mechanics to craft their own house.
You can just make some ruins, that the player can just fortify the way they want.
They can add towers, they can add traps, farms.
    And even a church.
    They can add turret.
    Garage.
They add medical department, and armory
There is no need to give the player a lot of tools and mechanics that might overwhelm him.

The ruined will be placed in a lot of locations, but not to close to each other. People can share a ruin among themself, or just be a nomad
    There is a catch
The ruin will always attract zombies.

People can also kill each other to own the ruin, people can steal other players stuff in the ruin.
Witch make the trap and turrets handy.

Ok. I'll sample a small area and have it upgradeable for starters. Give me a few days to a week and I'll post some stuff on the progress. I'm going to have to add items necessary to be able to build this stuff. Growing your own food sounds like a really good idea.

When you say a farm do you want like cows and chickens? Not everyone has to be a wasteland warrior. A wasteland farmer is a respectable trade :p

No cow, no chicken. This for hunt. There are some smart animals that won't let zombies catch them.
A farm, where you grow your own herb, medicine, drug, or whatever, and vegetables
Leave the meat to the hunt.( player will have one more reason to do operate or to be a jerk

While I think building your own buildings is good, i think that should be left out on a mobile game.

I think voncarp should just put his own farms/houses/hospitals/sheds/bunkers, etc into the game world. I think its overwhelming adding 'too much' to the game.

I think stumbling upon one of the above buildings would be better than creating them in an apocalyptic world.

With all this talk of shelter, how about TENTS?

Maybe you can have pre-existing strongholds or bases which players/teams can make camp in. (other players team up and attempt to raid).

To be honest, building structures in the apocalypse would be sort of tough with all the material needed. But that's just my opinion, you can still add them. I just think it would be cool if you can craft tents and set them up wherever you want, and take them down really easily.
