It's beautiful. The music adds to the experience as well. But it's not a game -- intentionally as it seems. There's not much to do. You walk around (slowly), tap animals and activate "machines" that change a property of the landscape. That's basically it. I really had my hopes up for a point and click adventure game. My mistake for misreading the description this is a point and click exploration 'game' Just to clarify I'm not saying this is bad in anyway. It seems the controls are not really responsive and they decided to put black wide screen bars. I'm on an iPad! Update after going through all the places... Other than the art and some of the sounds and music I'm not impressed, I wish there was more to interact with. Adsinjapan Well-Known Member Aug 7, 2013 181 0 0 #19 Adsinjapan, Aug 13, 2015 Pretty much in agreement with this, though I was hoping for something a little more interactive along the lines of Year Walk. Now don't get me wrong, the art direction and the music is top notch! The controls feel unresponsive however and I find myself stuck on the scenery regularly. The PAUSE button is in fact an "End Journey" button, which is downright baffling to me. I don't want to stop exploring, but I made the mistake of doing it more times than I would have liked. Planting flowers in the game is frustrating because you can only plant them at your feet and getting it right first time is tricky. I've also had a missing leg texture on my randomly generated character. Movement is too slow. I can expect this kind of pacing in Swords & Sworcery because there's far more to do and interact with. When pulling levers, you have to practically pressed up against them, which means manually walking all the way over to them, instead of clicking on the lever and having your character auto-walk there. I don't exactly regret buying Barmark, but I'm not exactly head over heels in love with it either. I DO get games like this. I liked MTN and I just finished Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on PS4. There just really needs to be...MORE to this experience. collider Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Mar 22, 2013 185 0 16 CEO/Owner Collider, Inc. Like others here I was hoping for some sort of game aspect to it, but maybe the zen mode works... This might be a great one to play right before bed Edit. 2 minutes in I'm trapped by what seems to be errant colliders and can't move. I think I'll wait for an update before trying this again. It really pretty, but I'm not loving the controls. And the dude really does walk very slowly... (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
