It was released on march 13, and I did the search here to see if anybody had made a thread on it, since no such thread was found I made this one. BargainBin is an extremely polished Appstore Bargain/Sale finder, very similar to Appsniper, in that both show sales of apps and good deals. Appsniper: -Keep watch and track specific Apps -Tab for apps that have dropped price -Tab for new apps -Tab for "hot" apps -3G/Edge -Currency and store filter -Ban sellers -View screenshots and appstore description from app -Graph for previous app prices & updates Screenshots in this post ( Version 1.0) Link: [app]AppSniper[/app] BargainBin: -Extreme polish, Iphone comercial worthy -Nice icon -View Screenshots and appstore description right form app -E-mail friends about great deals you have found -1st menu includes division into categories and "all categories" section -"popular" bargains section Link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=302951751&mt=8 Conclusion: - Both are very nice, and I'm gonna keep Bargain bin on my ipotch because it doesn't change as much as appsniper and the overall interface is just much more pleasing. If you don't have appsniper and are ironically to cheap to get it, BargainBin is a nice substitute.
What I think is the problem with appsniper is that there are so many price changes and so many new apps that it's really hard to scroll through all of them and find the ones you really want, it's also very easy to overlook stuff. I feel like BargainBin kind of has a quality check and thus less price changes appear which makes it easier to find what you want.
Well it is definitely more stable and nicer looking than AppSniper. It doesn't seem as accurate as Appsniper in some aspects. I haven't found the Galcon price drop yet among other things. For a free app it is quite good. If they add the ability to track apps it is a definite winner.
by the looks of this i would go with this one over app sniper but you cant track any apps which made me delete right away so for now im sticking with app sniper......
AppSniper has a strong team with experience and cash behind it. Free apps can be flimsy. Do any of us know the devs or are they newcomers?
Hmm, looks like we have some real competition now Just a heads up that we have released AppSniper Lite (free version) on the US store. It is identical to the paid version of AppSniper, with the only difference being that it only allows 10 snipes/watches instead of 100. Enjoy!
Manta, jeez, I think maybe you should scale back that appsniper lite. I've already bought the full version a while ago, but if I hadn't I'd only get the lite version. Then again, Manta is in Toronto. . I love appsniper.
Hi, Appsniper Lite isn't available in the Dutch iTunes store, while the full version is. Is this just a matter of time (since the Lite version was just released it may not be out in all countries yet) or is this on purpose? Could you release the Lite version in the Dutch (and possibly other countries') store as well? Thank you.
agree i'd scale back the lite version too ! have bought this but if the lite version was available i would not have ! 10 is my general max anyway to watch / snipe
No No No Been having issues with Appsniper, so i tried this one out. Can't track a particular app, either for price drops or updates. And the biggest reason why i deleted this app within 5 minutes was that you cant see new apps as they come in to the App Store. Not for me...
appsniper lite not in canada? KInda weird I've been having issues with Barginbin (stuff that was in the list yeaterday isn't there now etc.) so I thought I'd try to find appsniper lite. But no. If I search for it on my touch I find a listing but not detailed info. weird.
Appsniper Lite is only available in the US. I asked the devs and they don't have plans to release it outside of the US.
