I'm both happy you're deciding to branch out to other platforms and worried about the response. Be prepared for endless threads complaining that "This is 0.99 on IOS, why is it [insert Steam price] on Steam?" and asking what are the differences between the two versions and hating you for "ruining Steam with stupid mobile games". Hope I don't sound cynical. I love seeing indie devs branch out, but I've seen this so many times now. Tiny Thief, Kingdom Rush, it's always the same
Yeah, you might want to ask TouchArcade to hold off on a formal review of your game until you got your initial fix patch and the endless mode working. I can see this game being 5 star material!
Wow I have to support devs that put out solid balanced games that aren't freemium. Your commitment and feedback here earned my sale. After playing it, I'm glad I did - it's fun and groovy to listen to. Sorry if it's been noted already but it seems my stun doesn't build using the wizards, the last friends upgrade doesn't open the other shops, and had a weird bug where I had max notes but my abilities never got out of cool down past the first boss.
Holy crap. I liked this game at first but wasn't as wowed as others. But then started playing more and an hour and a half flew by. This game really is awesome! What finally stopped me was a freeze where I couldn't even quit or restart. But once some of these bugs are squashed, this is a must-have. Bought the coin doubler for support and to keep things clicking along in the upgrades. Great game and looking forward to updates to fix some of the issues. Probably a good thing I ran into a freeze. I may not have gotten any sleep tonight!
The good news for you all is I'm trying out the app to send any logs of crashes as I was getting them after every single game and now I'm not getting any at all while trying with this one : )
Would have completely overlooked this game if not for the TA GOTW. Read this thread and so impressed by the attitude and dedication of the devs that I had to buy immediately. Have only played for about 30 mins but really loving the game and so I also bought the doubler. Easy to level up you characters and lots of upgrades to make things interesting. Would happily have paid more than a dollar and will gift this to friends. Looking forward to seeing how this game develops, along with colossatron this is gonna be my new go to game. In other circumstances I've been deleted the game and low rated it on the AppStore, but this game is awesome! I'm still playing even with the bugs. Congrats for the GOTW!
They hope to fix them all this week in an expedited review. The version I'm trying hasn't crashed on me yet when previously it did constantly. Also endless mode is pretty cool it's like a whole new game : ) not sure if it's coming in the update yet though.
This game is so fantastic ;0. It's kind of similar to Nimble quest but it's way better. I got bored of NQ after awhile and ended up deleting it. But this game is just sick, I love the survival mode the most right now. I just got my best time of 3:00 minutes and I'm going to try and best the best leading time of 14 minutes later today once I get my monster. Great game guys!
Congrats on GOTW!! I love seein this game do well, and i hope it blows up in sales. A non-freemium game this awesome needs to do well to restore faith that freemium sucks and premium can make money
I downloaded this on the strength of the TA review and other players in this thread. I probably would not have looked otherwise. I am impressed with the reliability of TA and these forums and again I was not disappointed this time. I look forward to getting into this game deeper and congrats for GOTW!!
Of the two games I bought this week (Shadow Blade is the other) this is so easily my pick for GOTW. Everything about this game screams "QUALITY". Sure there have been a couple bugs but overall this game is just awesome. It's games (and developers) like this that keep me coming back to my iPad for gaming over and over again. Thanks to the devs for making this experience possible.
I know there's been some discussion of bugs in this thread. My main issues are the the game locking when trying to go to the shop or when quitting a level, and the game not moving to the next wave when I kill all the enemies. Wave 16 appears to be the main culprit for the waves getting stuck. Every time I play, I finish Wave 16 and Wave 17 never comes. I can still run around and everything. I think it played Wave 17 the very first time I tried the Night levels (and I died on 17), but now I've played it 4-5 more times and it's been stuck every time on Wave 16. Great game guys, but you do have to realize that if release a game with such game-breaking bugs, people WILL take that into consideration in their ratings. In my opinion, it's not worth a 1-star review but everyone is different. These aren't just small bugs either, I'm running into these game-breaking bugs literally every time I play. I'm super stoked for these bugs to get ironed out and new content to be added and I have full confidence that you guys will do both. But right now I am just frustrated as the game has become almost unplayable. If this were a free game I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I paid for the app and doubled down for the golden axe lute. I played all the way through Wave 15 without seeing a single bug, then all the sudden they started hitting me on every playthrough (both the Wave 17 issue and the loading screen lock-ups, even after signing out of Game Center). I would have definitely held off on buying the golden axe lute had I known these bugs would start popping up. I'm playing on a 4S by the way.
Trust me, we are not pleased either We do the best we can to test, many people played it, and really thought it was pretty solid. Clearly we didn't test late-game enough. If you want to PM me, I can send you the latest in-development build. This will let me track your error logs directly, and we can probably get to the bottom of this. I've fixed a bunch of bugs already, but haven't pinned down the Wave Not Advancing thing... Also, what party combinations are you using? Cheers,
