Oh, those skins looks way to awesome! Would love to play it... on a PS4 I vote for the current version as it is and another freemium app for the freemium stuff. But some will still fall for the free2play version... investing 20$ and saying "99 cents is too expensive for an app" xD
Have just seen that awesome image for the Steam version and it's gone right on to my wishlist - the game is awesome enough to double dip anyway but throw in Octodad, Isaac and Meat Boy and it's a nor brainer for me!

I'm still not entirely sure I believe this... And is this possible? It might be... Except how can it be restored if you delete the game since it won't be obtained from IAP? Is that possible now?
This is what I have been trying to say for a long time: Less and less developers will come to iOS, eventually being a dry wasteland full of nothing but freemium stuff full of IAP and paywalls. Its coming. Anyways, thanks for keeping the game as it was for early supporters. I will be buying a PlayStation 4 version if it ever comes out
Well, I don't blame 'em. Sorry the s****y consumer base of the mobile market turned you guys away :/ You guys are some extremely respectable devs, and you're handling the situation really well. I wish you the best of luck in the PC marketplace. And hopefully the Xbox marketplace as well, if Microsoft gets rid of that damn launch parity.
I'm going to look stupid if this was some April Fools joke by the dev, but considering the tone of his responses and the fact the posts are replies to questions by Steam users (aka people who wouldn't care if a mobile game was going freemium), I don't think he's joking
They could throw in an even bigger gold multiplier, although that might overdo it on the gold earning rate. And like I asked before, can the golden axe be restored if it wasn't received as an IAP? I don't want to lose my "purchase" somehow. So there might be a problem in both cases. When is this change going to happen? (It's not April Fools?)
Yeah, a coin doubler in addition to the axe would he nice for early adopters. That would be a nice touch.
I don't get it... I thought the game sold pretty well and got a lot of praise why would they switch to F2p? I've been kinda let down with the updates, I was hoping for more characters and levels buy now? Maybe that's why they're switching to f2p cuz if they feel like they're giving us too much content without paying anything? Oh well..
Paying $.99 for a game, and then feeling jipped because it went f2p, is beyond goofy. They spent a whole year making this game and because it's going f2p you want more things for being an early adopter? I have spent around $15 just because I appreciate the work they have put into this game, good work should be rewarded.
More like, the dev said they'd reward early adopters, so we expect to be rewarded. But what about people who already bought that reward? And can the reward be restored like an IAP if it isn't bought as one? ...I have a solution! Make the golden axe IAP free for a week so people who bought the game already can "buy" their reward (and have plenty of time to do so), then make the game free afterward. That is possible: An IAP can be free. Apparently you buy Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed and it gives you an IAP free, making it like a freemium game with a forced IAP purchase to get it.
Ouch no problem by it switching f2p as long as I don't suffer any changes like ads being removed for being an early adopter but it sucks that the reward is the golden axe as I already purchased that to support the devs so I feel like I'm missing out now instead.... How about a free early adopter only character?
