As any other game (in the last 35 years) does: check space, if not enough available, show message. Do not delete save game. If anything, save games should NEVER be affected, no matter how stupid users like myself seem to be. You can say whatever you want, yes, it was stupid to start the game with little space left (was more than 10 btw), but do you always check your available space before you start a program? On any platform? I realize I made a mistake saying something bad about the developers (although I said I loved the game, bought it and the golden axe (just to support, not because I like coin doublers)). Would have spent more also. Anyway, who gives a frakk.
You should ALWAYS keep at least 10% of your space free, and no matter what, never go below 2GB. It's been like that with electronics for as long as I can remember. Anything lower than that, there's always the chance for corrupted or deleted files. But... Keep on throwing around the blame. It COULDN'T have been anything you did/didn't do/didn't know... Have fun with that.
Nice music with a bottle of wine on hand. Some people say a cheese plate is too cliché but I find it can add a lot (depending on the guests, of course).
Unfortunately, there is no "check space" API we can use, you can try and write something, and it can fail, that is really the only way to know you're full. And we're not deleting anything, iOS is clearing out that file beneath our feet. In our case, the save file is only 600bytes, and we have never seen it fail, nor can we really seem to fill up a device enough to make it happen. This issue remains a mystery to us, as we've never seen it happen, and even with 10MB free space, you should be able to save about 15,000 of our save files In the upcoming version (1.3), the save location has been changed, and from what I'm told from other Adobe AIR dev's, it should be totally safe (though the previous location was also supposed to be safe). I've also added 2-step redundancy, so if something happens to your main save, it should still be able to restore on the fly.
We would love to come up with a way to 'suicide' your units, but are a bit stuck on the UI for it. Any ideas are welcome
As I said, putting it on the pause screen could work. You wouldn't even need to worry about being attacked while pressing the right button to get rid of the unit you want to. And it wouldn't have more buttons possibly cluttering up the action. Well, you can have several units, so the pause menu is really the only place left for this, isn't it?
Like just a big "kill all" button?? We were thinking something a little more fine grained... maybe tapping Brad could pause the game ticker, and allow you to manage units individually. For the sequel, we're throwing around the idea of being able to "place" units, which would really bring the TD and Strategy aspects to a new level.
I meant putting individual units on the pause screen to choose which ones to get rid of. "You wouldn't even need to worry about being attacked while pressing the right button to get rid of the unit you want to."
Hey Devs, I love this game! Most fun I've had on iOS since Kingdom Rush, and I'm looking forward to future updates. Please fix the 360noscope achievement to beat the game without dying. Searching this thread it seems others are having this issue too.
I second the fixing of the achievement for beating the game without dying, did it twice and no go. Otherwise, amazing game. Please add more content, I've been saving my money for all the new things I can buy!!!
Today hopefully BulkyPix is sitting on it, we think there may be an upcoming feature from Apple, but no one tells us much... if not today, should be next week for sure.
