I got that too - after I died for the first time, I had to shut down and re-open the app before stun started recharging.
You unlock them as you play through the campaign. There are set waves that once you reach your first time, you unlock a new character and then have them for good. There are also the three special characters (engineer, dwarf, knight) to unlock at 15k gold a piece
Late-game? I've been playing for a few minutes and already I've encountered the stun stopping recharging as I just posted about, and right now I appear to have unlocked a "healer" that just dies and doesn't do anything. Healer got slightly damaged, and as soon as I stopped moving randomly killed herself? There were no enemies, she wasn't being attacked, there were no damaged party members, so she wasn't healing. I'll be kind and refrain from leaving a rating on the App Store for now, as the game would be great without the bugs! Edit: summoned a new healer, it did the same thing, this time it healed a party member a little bit, then suicided. I'm assuming this is a bug, not intentional?
Wanted to buy the game and the coin doubler, but it won't even install for me :/ It says something like 'Bardbarian can't be installed right now'. What should I do? Edit: nvm, for some reason it would install after like 20 tries, so problem solved
I'll chime in on the healer as this as been brought up before. Right now she is bugged in 2 ways, she heals even when teammates are not hurt and she resets the stun meter which should be happening (so the stun meter problem you listed is most likely due to the healer as well). She is supposed to hurt herself though, that is why her note cost is so cheap. As such, the current best way to use her is wait till your teammates are damaged, buy a healer, use her up and move on. She is intended to be a cheap (10 note cost, plus 3 notes back when she dies) way to fully heal your team once.
Just bought it and played for 2 hours straight. Awesome and well-polished game. Definitely worth the money. Are you guys planning on adding new classes and upgrades in the nearby future?
Can someone who is getting the "Won't get past TreeFortress Logo" bug please PM me? I think it's fixed, but can't reproduce the bug, so I need someone to verify the fix. Thanks!
Great game! Love it! Unfortunately, after playing for 4 hours totally without problems, I now have to restart the entire game after every time I lose. When I choose to "upgrade my stuff" the loading icon appears, but the game freezes. Nothing happens. Rebooting the iPad didnt help as well. I'd like to try reinstalling the game, but I am afraid that my savegame will be lost. Will it be? Any idea? Thanks!!
Good to know it's a bug; she's a combo empath and healer, so I just assumed that after a certain amount of healing she overloads, gets depressed, and offs herself.
You know, I was just thinking that having a tilt controls option would be pretty sweet. Imagine controls like that of Tilt to Live on this game. The only touching you would need to do is pressing icons for solos. I think it could give far more precise movement than the touch movement.
I don't think tilt controls would work very well here, especially when using an IPad. Even on an IPhone, tapping and tilting could become very cumbersome. And that's assuming that the tilt controls would be well implemented, which is never a sure thing.
I found a big with the Healer. So when no one else in my party is injured except for her, and I stop (most of the times on accident) she goes to heal. Well instead if healing her self she obvisouly kills her self because when she heals she loses health. So it's a lose lose lol. She's not healing anyone but still dying
Hey devs, Works great on my iPad Air. On my iPhone 5s it sticks on the TreeFortress logo. . Is this a known bug? Also will it support iCloud saves??
I might take you up on the latest build, assuming it doesn't override my save. I've never participated in something like that so I'm not sure how it works. I'll PM you if my save will remain intact. Regarding party combinations, I've mostly been using brawlers (I think that's what they're called?) backed by one necromancer. The last few runs I tried only using storm knights because I had just unlocked them. Storm Knights seem pretty overpowered so far, but maybe that's intentional since they cost me 15k to unlock. Another potential bug worth mentioning. It appeared that in one game, my necromancer wasn't working correctly. She was attacking enemies like she should, but they wouldn't turn into zombies when they died. Haven't tried reproducing the bug yet, but thought it was worth mentioning.
