hehe thx NoDoctors. I can't disagree with anything you've said ..but then I'm extremely biased We just dispatched a near final version of the app to the TA crew and a handful of others so hopefully they'll give an early hands-on soon.
No no Random Guy it's iPhone first, with iPad version to follow a few weeks later Getting close to finishing - just applying the last coats of frog mucus!
Quick Update What a week! No doubt as a result of Eli, Blake and Arn providing generous coverage of their first hand experience with an early build of Frogman, our little teaser video went ballistic, popping up everywhere and culminating with a front page item on a little site called Gizmodo! From the comments - of which we read every single one - it seems some people are excited, or maybe there's just a lotta love for frogs generally lol. Either way we couldn't be happier! Everything is progressing really well with a bunch of new features and that all important fresh coat of frog mucus being added. We've even settled on an in-store date! Shortly after the dust settles from the iPadapolooza. If there's sufficient interest we might even have to make a video that shows more of the gameplay and later levels. Anyone?
Happy Easter. A new video early next week - thought we'd leave it till after the iPadapolooza Meanwhile some background on what you can expect when Frogman hops to the iPhone this month... 34 levels ranging from city streets to train yards to a lava filled foundry to the sewers x 5 rounds per level = 170 rounds, or apprx 12+ hours to play through if you could make through in 1 sitting. Though we doubt you could
Show me the froggy This is why I should never read the tech news. When there's something really cool it's probably vaporware. But ok ok, march, april, whenever...
A quick note to report the game is FINISHED! There is a reason why we cant yet comment on a release date but suffice to say there are exciting developments happening behind the scenes! Thanks guys for your patience, we took the extra time while the iPad was launching to tweak a few things and we think you'll be happy with the results. All will be revealed in the next few days
It's obvious that you are talking with a publisher, and like all the other games right now, expect this one to also take forever + because of it. I love how this was supposed to have been out already (like many other games as well). I mean no offense, I am just getting impatient with about 7 different developers who keep saying "Release date coming next week"...then next week "news coming in a few days"...then in a few days "a few more days, it's going to be great news"...then a few days goes by and the great news is "We are talking to a publisher - this will be great for the FINISHED game. It will delay it's release another 5 months, but it will be great". Then 3 months later "we parted ways with the publisher and will be submitting it, publishing it ourselves". I know, that's an exaggeration, but there are a few games this type of thing has happening with. Once again, this is all half joking I feel like I need to disclose that, as some sensitive TA Forum members will think Im picking on people. BUT, it is obvious that you are talking with a publisher. That's the only thing you guys keep secret and say it will be revealed in a "few days".
haha yeh that would suck! We cant speak for the 'seven' other developers but Frogman ain't delayed, we take as long as we need to get our games to a point where we feel they are good enough for you guys! Can be almost done then inspiration hits and we HAVE to add this or that, or it doesn't feel right and we'll try harder. Frogman hasn't been nor will be delayed one single day due to publisher. If we were to consider working with a publisher that would be top o the list so have no fear citizens Frogman will be keeping our streets (and sewers) safe soon enough.
