FYI, you can take a screen shot in iOS by pressing the sleep/wake button and then a quick press and release of the home button: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT200289?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US After playing through about half the game on my iPhone 6+, I have gotten used to the text for the most part. As you say, the in-battle ability description pop-up text boxes are really too small, but manageable.
wow, thanks, i didn't know i could do that i just got a pic, but when i open it, it's not the actual size of the screen, the pic and the text looks bigger. So for accurate measure, just print the new roman type font, size 4 and see if you can read it.
Yeah, the problem will be that the pixels on the iPhone screen are a lot smaller than on monitors. To get the right sizing, just zoom out on the image until it is 3.5" across diagonally. It won't give a good idea of the clarity of the text, but perhaps the size. I didn't bother with a screen shot for this reason. The printing of the font is a good idea.
Fabulous game, intentionally abstained for the PC release knowing how well it would play on tablet. Only complaint, every transition ( which occurs frequently) resorts to a load screen that seems excessively long. I realize the games footprint is large and it is built to work on a number of platforms, but wondering if the iOS version is managing resources as efficiently as it could. Even so, worth every cent/pent.
Funny, I was thinking about how short the load times were for me, longest load time I've experienced is maybe 30 seconds, most are less than 10.
Those times are about what i get on the iPhone 6. I was thinking that they are 'slow', too. However your post made me realize that I was comparing them to other iOS games and not full computer games (which I don't play any more, so I had kind of forgotten). You are right, 10 seconds is actually pretty quick for a game that is about 2GB.
I got it too, on my Ipad 3, it showed when i was repeatedly tapping on the bottom right corner of the screen, I don't know if that's a coincidence or not.
Game Impressions I agree. The combat in this game is fantastic, really everything i could hope for in an SRPG, but the text trees and the endless walking and cutscenes really take a lot away from my enjoyment of the game. The combat is so good that I am still playing, but if there was an option to play exactly the same game without dialog or cutscenes, I would much prefer it. I love a game with a good story, but I would like it to be integrated with the game, rather than have a choose-your-own-adventure book slapped on top of such a good tactical game.
Yeah same...I was trying to skip a scene and bam. It also lets you skip fights straight up. Always a victor! But honestly it's a terrible bug. Like a game breaker here. Someone should do something about it.
Dialogs are so boring... No voice over, the characters don't move, almost no background music, no cut scenes... The dialogs could be much better.
They're well written. That's what counts. I should also note that they are just as animated as the dialogues on Final Fantasy Tactics -- game that likely had 10 times the budget.
Same here, happens after a long hard fought battle usually... it's like once every 3 or 4 battles for me at this point. Very frustrating. Iphone 5.
The game is very well written, but dialogs were designed in a boring way in my opinion. The characters don't even change their facial expression it they are surprised, angry or something. Almost no background music and it doesn't change according to what is happening. Many games with a lower budget found ways to make dialog scenes more interesting and exciting. I don't think a well written text is the only thing that counts. Maybe in a book it is, but this is a game.
Is there any way to rotate the camera? during battles, when you are surrounded, it's hard on the iphone to click on the correct spot...
