When I click on an ad for an app, I'm always a bit annoyed when it takes me to the App Store. I'd rather be taken to a page with screenshots, video, etc. Plus it's easier if you are a developer to track which sites are worth advertising on. Any thoughts?
From an advertiser perspective I think going to the App Store is the way to go. You want to make it as easy as possible for someone to buy the app. Sending them to an intermediate page will lose a percentage of people. arn
I recently switched my Lite app to point to the store instead of the site. I was expecting an increase in sales, but they actually did not change... I suspect in general pointing to the store is better than the website in terms of sales.
