Is anyone else experiencing a bug where putting your device asleep, then unlocking it causes the game to stop responding to taps? it's happened to me several times. Also seems to happen after I get "low battery" pop up notifications. When this happens, I have to exit and restart the app.

it would seem like a small bug but this has happened enough to become really annoying.

Isn't the solution to this pretty easy?
Don't put your device to sleep with the game running....

Why in the game does my Jaheira show as a dog toon? The dog or hamster's master was killed. So I have two characters and this hamster that takes Jaheira's place????? When I touch on the portrait of Jaheira the hamster toon is selected in game??? Anyone?? But I don't see Jaheira anywhere. She seems to be playing as a hamster?? Weird.

Jaheira can transform into animals. Normaly you should be able to transform back by casting the human glyph or whatever it is called. But an hamster?...mhmm xD

Do you guys creAte you own party for the main game or do you just creat your own character and use the cast provided?

Also, any tips on team composition for the black pits? I am getting walloped at the moment. The wizards kick my butt !!!

    I am using
    *archer
    *skald
    *cavalier
    *sorceror
    *fighter/cleric
    *sun soul monk

Doing the tier 1 fight vs the drow team and their damage output is just huge early on! Two archers, two warriors and a priest summoning sword spiders just overwhelms too early. And again, how do you try to deal with their wizards?

As you get on in the game are there temples where I can raise a character from the dead?

Your best bet is to have a cleric. When they get raise dead and raise dead fully you will never need a temple again.

I've been getting this in BG1 a lot, lately. I quicksave constantly, but it's definitely an annoying bug. It's been reported on their forums, so hopefully it gets fixed.

It's not as simple as not putting your device to sleep. If you get any popup notifications, or switch apps (I switch to Chrome to check for item locations to ensure I don't miss any hidden objects, from time to time), there's a chance the game will essentially lock up. Annoying.

Just passing by to say my Mea Culpa :
There's indeed a big bad bug in the iPad version where werewolves illusions are very, very dangerous.

The easiest way to deal with that is probably to have a wizard cast "invisibility" on everyone and just go upstairs directly without fighting (There's nothing to loot there anyway)

Strange, I never had this bug with BG1-- and I played through the whole game twice on ipad.

A bug this big makes me wonder if they play tested the iPad port at all...very frustrating. Also, lots of issues with the touch detection being too strong, making it difficult to navigate around small corridors, or use thief abilities or target the right person without accidentally running across the map.

I stopped reading that review when I got to the part that said games like Baldur's Gate are best "left in the past" because they're too hard and there's too much dialogue...

I agree with you, modern games such as Angry Birds are so much more rewarding and suitable for today's attention span defecit so called gamers ;)

Why is this a problem? If your life is so busy that you can't miss a notification perhaps you shouldn't be playing games.. Of course, you could always switch do not disturb on, a simple enough task, from the bottom of the home screen prior to play time.

Ok, so nobody else has experienced the "disappearing portrait bar" bug?

How about the "you may not save/rest at this time" bug, which persists until you travel to a different zone? No, I'm not in combat, but obviously the game thinks I am.
