The game autosaves right before you enter the second floor where the werewolves are, so yeah you do have a save that you can reload. Why did you restart a new game when you can just reload your autosave and walk away? It sounds to me like you're making stuff up just to prove your point. I used dispel magic and finished the quest no problem.
Two questions: are we able to import our characters from BG1EE? And what're you guys doing for thief coverage? Do imoen/ nalia do a good enough job as essentially lvl 8 thieves the entire game? Yoshimo isn't an option due to spoilers. I'm a good party, so Keldorn won't tolerate Hexxat for long.
This is true, but when you try to leave the tent (to back out of the quest chain), you are told that the door is locked and you have to find another way out, effectively forcing you to continue to the second floor.
In a couple review posts in the App Store, they said that the expansions promised are NOT included. Is this true?
You can't leave the tent- You're forced to walk into the second floor, so the autosave essentially locks you into a death march. Glad you got dispel magic to work, but I couldn't and not everyone picks up True Sight in teh intro dungeon. Its a broken quest, period, and the first one you run into, to boot. Its bad QA procedure, up and down.
I've done that quest twice on PC without any trouble. Go upstairs, kill the shadows without touching the werewolves then enter the room, and you'll be fine. OR Just go upstairs and enter the room without killing anything and you'll be fine either way.
I haven't started my game yet, not done with my run of BG1:EE, but I'm quite sure it's a bug not found on the PC.
Once you kill the bad guy on the 2nd floor the room becomes the tent and all good. Took me 30 min to complete tent quest with just the 4 character party. What is "game breaking" about that? Now in the slums with 6 characters, all of whom I will keep till I rescue my cousin Imoen#.
Go short bow. They tend to offer cool things like unlimited ammo and bonus attacks. You can get the Tuigan in the slums right away, and later collect pieces of the even more awesome Gesen. Either one will rip mages apart. GameFAQs has your go-to guide to the best gear in the game: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/258273-baldurs-gate-ii-shadows-of-amn/faqs/21749
maybe i missed it but is there any gameplay videos posted in here? Just curious and if I missed it sowwy
Maybe so, but I am a software tester and every time beamdog has release something they have bugs that are so obvious as to why they weren't caught before release. It is one thing to find a bug 20 hrs in and another if ones are found in the first few minutes. So basically why would I send them money for a app/game where they haven't done any amount of testing? Namely over $10 for an app that probably got rushed to get immediate revenue and fix the issues later. Lastly the scrolling issues should have been fixed a long time ago but obviously beamdog feels they are not that important. Less so on a PC but on mobile devices that should rank high up there to fix.
Oh ok, I did not realized that you can't get out of the tent, sorry I guess that's why I always have a minimum of 10 savegames no matter what rpg I play! How about using hold on the werewolves maybe? Also not all werewolves are one-hit killers, I dispelled a few and killed the other ones that were normal. Basically, once I entered the room I got my main guy to lure the enemies away from my group and run around in circles near the middle-right side while my mage cast dispel in the area my guy was running around. If your bait character can stay alive long enought to cast the spell, you're ok. I think the werewolves on the right side of the room are one-hit killers but not the left side, not sure... Took me four attempts.
ok, BGII noob here: so i accidentally killed some people in Copper Inn.... now when i exit, the police attack me on sight. like white on rice. Any way around this? Do i need to start a new game? hope not help
This is the perfect example, showing the reason why so many ppl here have written the following mantra: Save, and save often. Have multiple saves. Don't just rely on auto saves and quick saves. This game is hard! It is not a casual title. Actions you take in the game can and does have repercussions either immediately or later.
Couldn't resist so I bought it. Even though it has reported bugs galore and save issues I'm just a sucker for a good RPG.
