go in ITunes and select your Ipad. under your Apps look at the bottom, you have all the apps that have Shared folders. 1 of them is BG. just copy the saves to your PC and put them back later on.
When I upgraded from my iPad 1 to my iPad 2, I backed up the 1 to iTunes and then setup the 2, using the restore from backup option. The ONLY apps that were restored onto the 2 were the ones that I had transferred to iTunes and were on my 1 at the time of the backup. Since I had only transferred my purchases once, like a year before, not much actually made it to the 2 via the restore. Once I transferred my purchases from the iPad 1 and repeated the above process, everything showed up on the 2 after the restore.
Really? I've never had the same experience. I've had every generation of iPad and have always restored via iCloud (unless iCloud didn't exist for the first ipad or two, I forget now). I don't have any apps saved to iTunes. I have a LOT of apps and they took up too much room on my computer. The only apps I've ever lost during a restore are apps that were removed from the App Store and did not download on my new device. I guess I don't know why your experience Is so much different. I guess it's a moot point, since neon bible doesn't want to do a complete restore. I don't have any experience with iExplorer, but I have heard it's fairly straightforward to use.
You're welcome.. I think (not 100% sure) that you can use it with your PC game as well and visa versa... your PC savegame on your Ipad Game
Is this game even playable on the iPad 1? Because if it is, there is no reason so many other newer games with worse graphics are barely compatible with the 2 or standard Mini. There is no reason the latest GTA, Shadowrun, The Shadow Sun, and especially the Republique which isnt even an action game but a stealth game and everyone's been saying its not even compatible on the 2 or Mini.
But why would they even need or want to support the original iPad when no one else does nor is it even available in stores anymore. Heck most of them are probably malfunctioning that are in circulation by now. Plus, why dont other companies even support the 2 or mini even though they are relatively new with games that quite frankly could easily run on them?
Downloaded. Download size: 1.7GB Installed size: 1.9GB Are the two IAP characters worth it? Get before I start playing or only for subsequent playthroughs?
I should really play this, I bought it soon after launch but haven't played much (just got to the town with my party). What drives me crazy is the constant voices every time you move a character. Even only played an hour I heard the same lines dozens of times and it grates.
I see an IAP for voices, does that help? Or is there an option to turn down the voicea in settings? I have not really played Baldur's Gate except to start it to look at the expansions. Empire Deluxe Mobile Edition taking up all my time...
To disable the voices, go to the options menu, tap on Character Sounds at the bottom of the screen, and then change both of the Command Sounds and Selection Sounds options to "Never".
They are definitively worth it, but you can easily save the purchase for another playthrough, as there's plenty of characters to choose from to add to your party, most, if not all of them, great characters. The new characters comes with great stories and quests only available to them, so it'll spice your next game up a bit. Playing through the game without them is still a worthwhile project as the game is seriously big. Personally, I bought them immidiately, purely to support the developers with the intention of playing without them in my first game because it's been years since I played the original BG on PC, but I couldn't resist when I met them in game...
What are you guys doing in preparation for BG2's release? I'm going to start an Orc berserker I just can't decide what proficiencies I want him to have. I think I want the flail of ages and dual wield that with a battle axe I suppose. It's either that or a paladin kit with 2 handers so I can use Carsonyr. Hell I donno! One more thing! This has bothered me since the original release of BG2 on PC: can we please please PLEASE have a new texture for kensai avatars?? You're supposed to be a mystical warrior from a far off land, can we not have a distinct outfit since we can't wear armor or must we traipse around in our tunic with NO PANTS (!?). Seriously is this like D&D underwear?
I'm up to chapter 5 on my Inquisitor. Good all around stats and focusing in 2H swords. I hope I can finish this run by the time BG2EE comes out. Just saw a tweet from @TrentOster that BG2EE already passed apple review. Should be out on the 28th (tomorrow?!) barring new bugs found.
Game-ending Bug? I read in a App Store review about a game-breaking Lothander Bug. I did some follow-up reading on the BG forums and, from what I can tell, this seems to be a real issue - but I'm not sure. Anyone here have any experience or thoughts on this? Has anyone done a full play through on iOS? Did you experience the bug? Bypass it? I am about 20 hours into my adventure (I play slow and read/see everything) and the last thing I want is to hit a game ending bug. If that is going to happen, I'll probably stop now. And I REALLY don't want to stop now. (This happened to me after 600 hours of Skyrim and it was rough).
Does anyone play a Kensai / Mage? I'm wondering what level I should dual class him to a Mage? Any other tips?
