This is a really, really good game. BG2 is a really, really, really good game.

Get BG1 and then BG2 to get the most out of the story.

But BG2 is bigger and better, all things considered.

Get BG, play through, then import your character into BG2.

Is it just the game reduced or also the IAP? Having bought the Mac version I'm Leary of paying full price for it all again.

BG1 and 2 are on sale for the PC and Mac. (14.99 for PC both and 19.99 for Mac)

BG1 for IOS = on sale as well.

BG2 = nerve wrecking hoping that it passes the review before Friday..

Exactly what I'm doing right now.. Now that the Bg1 patch is out and things are better I'm continuing the playthrough I left behind and once done - importing my character into BG2! :) Win win!

Yoink! Bought at $6.99. I know it was $4.99 once in the past, but 6.99 still gives me the satisfaction for having bought it on sale. :) one of my favorite games way back when. Glad I have the rMini now to play it.

Anyone else notice the game freezing up since the latest update? Third time it's happened to me so far...

Hasn't happened to me yet on my iPad 3. Been playing a lot these days and it seems stable. Rushed through Nashkel in under a day.

I'm with you on that one. On top of that, I hope there won't be too much in the way of bugs as these infinity engine games seem to have in abundance.

Thinking about getting an iPad Air. How do I transfer my game saves from another iPad?

Backup your old iPad. When you set up the new iPad, restore from the most recent backup. It will restore your new iPad with all of the apps and game saves from your old iPad. Easy peasy. ;)

Make sure you transfer all your purchases before you do the backup. I found out the hard way that "backup" only backs up settings and app data, but NOT the actual apps. Transferring apps backs up your apps and "backup" backs up your settings/data. Do both, or you'll be in for a shock when you restore your iPad.

This is only a problem if you have apps on your iPad that have been removed from the App Store. And, I think it's only a possibility if you backup via iTunes on a computer. You do risk losing apps if you attempt this via iCloud. So...I suppose it's a good thing Wizard Mike mentioned it. ;)

Hmm I don't actually want to transfer the whole thing. Would rather set up the new ipad from scratch to minimise the crap left over.

Can I transfer BG to PC and then drag it onto the iPad, and retain my saves?

How about using something like iExplorer, can I just copy the files across with that? If so what is the location?
