Doubt it as the screen is too small imo.

There have been $5 sales on Steam and Mac App Store recently, and I'm pretty sure the iPad version has been on sale in the past. I think there's a good chance BG1 will get a new sale on iOS to celebrate the BG2 release.

Well, there was that critical save bug Beamdog found and fixed, which restarted the approval process-- so I think BG1 and BG2 were put on equal footing.

But all the same, I think BG2 will definitely come out before the freeze hits. At least, I hope it will.

Thought this was a massive update with improved graphics and stuff. At least that is what I read in some articles this week. Still glad to have AOEs fixed. Waiting for the other stuff before I go back to the game.

Don't be confused by the handful of patch notes in the app description; this is the massive 1.2 update with the literal hundreds of fixes we've been waiting for. There's no "other stuff" coming.

It sounds like you may have confused BG:EE with BG2:EE, which does have improved artwork from the original assets, whereas those for the first game were lost a long time ago.

    This update is great.

No slow done and looting is now easy.

    Brilliant.

    Ow cool.
Are the controls improved now? They said something about iOS sdk etc instead ported mouse controls.

The last line in the update note says something about "in languages other than english...".
Does that mean they finally added sub-titles for non-english users? o_O

Dunno about the subs but it is easy as pie to pick stuff up, you can zoom in and out better and it may be my imagination but the characters move a little more spiritely.

I'll be honest though, the most important thing for me was the nightmare that was looting has now been fixed.

You mean opening containers or lock picking? I thought the former was fixed in the last update?

It improved last time but this update improves it dramatically. When you touch a container a 'pick up' icon appears in place of the cursor.

    It works very well.
