There's a list of things that have been announced on forums at baldursgate.com. EDIT! Incorrectly posted a link to the last page in the thread. Now it's correct. Here's the link: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/2041/bgee-please-read-list-of-things-that-have-been-announced/p1 There's bound to be regular updates on that page up until release day, so if you're as hungry for news on BG as me, you'll check up on it often. Here's an excerpt from the page regarding multiplayer: "Fixed up multiplayer. Baldur's Gate's buggy multiplayer support has been fixed up and improved, eliminating bugs and introducing cross-platform compatibility. It will be possible to play a multiplayer BG:EE game connecting a Windows based PC, an Apple Mac PC, an iPad and an Android tablet simultaneously."
Ouch! 16GB.. That hurts. I made the same mistake with my iPad 2. I remember the woes I had with a lot of games that wouldn't fit unless I deleted a lot of stuff. I'm now the happy owner of an ipad 3 with 64GB. Since I also use it to record music on using an Alesis iO Dock, I really need all the space I can get, so even 64GB is on the small side for me.. I wish they'd made a 124GB version.
Yeh, I thought I was smart when I bought the 16GB iPad 2. "only gonna use it for Uni, reading PDFs and stuff" turns out most of my Uni stuff is in the cloud, yet iPad is full with games, music, sketchbook and photoshop pics. Maybe I'm gonna upgrade with iPad 4. So long, will have to give up on other big apps for stuff like BG - and of course do the pyramid de-install/re-install My bet is, they're not going to release a 128 version until the entry-level MacBook Air is upped in storage.
I've been wanting this game on iOS ever since my iphone 3G (it's also been a big inspiration for one of the games our studio is currently producing). I knew a number of things listed on that BG:EE forum announcement, but wow, it's still awesome reading it all. The production is far beyond what I originally dreamed of. And damn, 3GB! I have a 16GB ipad 2 as well, and it's practically filled to the brim. I'll have to hurry and finish some of those games on it in the next few weeks...
I've just pre-ordered BG:EE for my PC. Crossing fingers and toes in the hope it have a simultaneous release on iOS.. If I owned a Mac, I would buy it again for that, just to support the Devs working on this. Only 9 days left...
Ditto. I started going through my ipad games to weed out stuff I don't want/need to make room for BG. I think I have another 3G to go to accommodate the installer, but I don't care - I'm SO excited about this.
Trawling the official forums several times a day for news, I can tell you that it will support every generation of iPad.
That's true, but Baldur's Gate: EE is gonna run just fine on the first iPad, according to the developers.
New iPad Ha, I was really hoping BG would only work on iPad 2 and 3, so I had a reason to get the new iPad.
=p did you see the system requirement for the pc version? Required System Memory (MB) 512 MB Minimum Graphics GeForce 2 or Equivalent Processor Speed (GHz) 1 GHZ http://www.beamdog.com/products/baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition
3 gigs is huge! I don't even think I have other games near that size... And I guess that means it's going to be the PC version for me.
I actually spent time this weekend backing up my iPAD and clearing up space for this game. 3 gigs with 5 gigs expanded is huge, but my iPAD is ready...
Well, do the pyramid de-/re-install. Remember, after installation you will have 2+ GB free because the installer gets dumped in the process. From that point on you can re-install a ~1GB app, which leaves you with ~1GB free along the way, then it's save to reinstall ~500MB app, and so on and so forth.
