The more time that goes by....the less I need this RIGHT NOW. Hopefully it drops today or this weekend. Waiting a few weeks after the intended release isn't going to make me enjoy it any less when it actually gets here. Hope that people keep updating Trent's comments off of twitter, since my iPhone gives errors every time I try to access his feed.
I wasnt interested in this game, but now seeing all this anticipation makes want to try it out. Well done Trent and company, you got yourselves a customer!
Ironic been waiting for bg2 for a while. I'm getting to the point ill just say screw it andPlay my original PC version.
I'm incined to agree with you. Enough is enough. Worse still, it may not live up to expectations; what was considered brilliant years ago, may not be the second time around.
Guys, don't you have otger games on your hands during the wait. It sounds like Baldur's Gate 2 is the only game at the moment, and every minute without it is a torture. Don't get me wrong, BG2 is one of my all time favourite games, so I'm sitting on needles here, but there're a lot of other great game to kill time with.
Not a single word on Twitter... There goes another week..., now it's 3 weeks that it was promissed...
But he have tweeted repeatedly, all of which is quoted on their forum. As I wrote in my post, he's tweeted that he doesn't know what's going on. What else can he say? Apple have approved the game, but for whatever reason, apparently only privy to Apple, the game haven't yet been released. As for the silence in the holidays, we'll, it's the holidays, and even game developers deserve their Christmas holidays.
We're going to have to agree to disagree on this, I'm afraid. There were long stretches of silence in there that he could have at least said enough to keep his own forum from flaming out.
There is nothing Trent could have said that would have made people anymore at ease that wouldn't have been nothing more than pandering or a lie. Gamers, sadly, display themselves to be petulant, self absorbed and a some what self entitled lot, period. So anything other than "it's releasing ____" would not and will not quell what has now become a mob mentality reaction. This happens with numerous games on numerous platforms in numerous communities and every games community always reacts in similar fashion; they rant and flame until they get their "fix" like the addicts they are. I really feel for these guys as they can do nothing right. If he reports constantly with nothing to report, he'd get flamed for not trying to do more to get the game released. He responds now when there is something to report and apparently it is not enough. You got to understand from a developers point of view that it is a lose/lose situation. The best we can do as a community is be supportive and patient... Imagine how they feel right now being unable to have their baby in the customers hands and not having a reason as to why...
To a point I agree. Trent has been active on twitter. My main issue is his response and the way he gives out " information". Personally I expect a better worded or atleast a little more thought out response then what we do get. Over the last cpl years I have had issue with apple, and have never had issues with customer support. Given maybe support is different for developers then customers. I just don't see how or why apple wouldn't respond to trent in the last week of emails etc.. To atleast explain the delay. To many coincidences all in all. Call me a conspiracy theorists whatever. Just makes me question beamdog as a whole.
Amenbrother, no problem Happy to keep everyone updated.. Just thought his post was add like we are complaining. while I posting his tweets...
