There's actually a massive overhaul patch coming in a couple of weeks that will refine the interface and performance, and address a number of minor lingering issues. That disput was resolved back in August and the awaited patch, which should address outstanding issues, re-entered development. It was announced early September that Baldur's Gate 2 for iPad is targeted for a release date of Novemebr 15th later this year.
