Haven’t tried my Backbone yet, but Ghostdog above had no trouble with a Series X controller. As to whether it’s worth, it really depends on how much you like this kind of ARPGs. Personally, this is my jam. I love Diablo, etc., but the modern versions are mostly about DPS, collecting loot, and managing health and mana. BGDA calls for more inventive gameplay, like using the environment to slow down enemies, perching on a high spots to fire arrows, etc. As a port, it’s very, very good.
And we wonder why we don’t see many AAA conversions ! If you want the game just buy it and support the dev ! Have you seen the price ? Not much more than a couple of Coffee’s ! Wait for a sale
I agree I wouldn’t wait for a sale as to me that’s one huge reason why we have freemium if we all waited for a sale then the dev loses out on a ton of money. If this game does well for the company then we may get more. If it doesn’t I doubt they’ll bother producing another one
I’m over in the Canaries back on Thursday night I have this to buy and Wreckfest played BG to death on the PS2 and have just picked up an M1 iPad ! Whoooo !
Any more feedback on the touch controls? I'm interested, but I rarely get my backbone out anymore. If I want to play on a controller I just use my steamdeck. I prefer my ios games to be things I can just pull out of my pocket and play whenever.
I’ve been playing with touch controls and they work great so far. Haven’t run into any issues. And though I have a controller, I prefer my iPhone games to just be mobile. I can play games with controllers on my consoles.
I have yet to use my Backbone with it. They’re not perfect, but this isn’t a button masher in the Diablo mold. Gameplay is fairly deliberate, and the moves that require more speed, like switching from blocking to attacking, work pretty well.
Hey @sqarezero I bought a lot of premium games i just don’t like the trinkets in free to play games I also am a current member of Apple Arcade and I love oceanhorn 2 the reason I am on here most of the time is because I love mobile games especially on the iPad and can’t ever work a job I just live with my family but anyway I’m getting another iTunes card in a month but back to bulders gate I understand it’s hard even with a controller?
I'm having no issues with difficulty using a controller, it's not hard at all in my opinion. Same for touch. Great game.
I’m the only one who complained about the game being difficult although i played on easy with a controller. This comment was not about too complex gameplay, more about the enemies strength that ramps up quite fast. Yesterday i finished the game and I had my fun. And I still think the jump and run parts are hard to pass without a controller. Altogether the game was a bit underwhelming. I really thought I was half through the game as it suddenly ended.
