Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Hello all! BADLAND Day II Dusk update is now live with 10 new levels! - 10 new single player levels with 30 new missions - New obstacles such as gravity modifier and time stopper! - 5 new achievements
These new levels are so cool. I love that you're really going all out with these cool new mechanics like time stop and gravity shifting.
I got a new ipad, and didn't transfer over my entire icloud. I have used specific iCloud saves for other games, but I can't back up my badland save. Is there a button or something I'm missing that backs it up like heroes and castles, or is this action not possible? Please help. I have my iCloud and badland on my iPod still.
I just want to thank the developer for the amazing support of their product!Couldn't try the new update yet but i'm sure it's as good as the updates before ;-)
Agreed. Excellent game with great updates, including new features and levels. Thanks devs. Was Badlands made by just two of you? (http://frogmindgames.com/)
Same here, a huge thank you for making an excellent product (one of the best on the AppStore for me) and a bigger THANK YOU for supporting it all the way Also, I have to ask, is Day 3 Coming? There is a program called iFunBox that can access your iThing and copy your save game from the iPod to the iPad. And its legal, legit and safe. Install, browse your iPhone, look for the Badland folder within the "Users Applications". Copy both documents and library folders to the PC and then into the same place on the iPad. You will have everything as you left it
How many more glowing comments can one give about Badland? Plenty. No, not the new content. I haven't played it yet because I am teasing myself and holding out until I can't take it anymore. I am talking about the challenges. Often I am not too interested in the extra challenges a game offers. But with Badland, these challenges are like strata, adding layers of extra gameplay besides just getting through to the end of the level. The more time I invest in paying attention to them, the more devious this game becomes. Has anyone tried to get through Clonespikes without cloning? Devious, baby. Delightfully devious.
Is there really a method for every challenge? I feel like the ones where you have to survive with X amount of clones seems kind of luck based
For the people at the top of the leader boards for number of clones saved, myself included, I can tell you that we're definitely not there out of luck! A lot of planning and skill goes into it.
Some luck I'd say, but more so skill in terms of timing, touch, memorization through trial and error, etc. With my comment though I was speaking in more general terms, that the challenges draw you into the gameplay here, whereas with other titles the challenges often feel like extras, or something tacked on.
Thanks again for all the positive feedback! Some of you asked about BADLAND's development. It was created in one year time by two people. We outsourced music/sound but other than that we did everything by ourselves. Nice project: No bosses or publishers etc. Everything was decided by us
I second that, wholeheartedly. I also see no reason why this couldn't or shouldn't be GOTY. While the influence of Limbo is definitely apparent (as it is in numerous other titles), BADLAND is a true original in its own right. Really there is nothing else that plays quite like it. In many ways it is the perfect iOS experience and should be rewarded as such.
