Hello! It's been around 24 hours since we released our BADLAND gameplay teaser and we are extremely happy about the attention it got! Big thanks to TouchArcade! Some answers here for you: BADLAND uses simple one touch controls. When you hold your touch on the screen the character flies, releasing the touch causes the character to fall because of the gravity. Very simple and easy. Depth in the gameplay comes from imaginative level design and various items that the player must (or must not) collect in order to survive. Some items make you bigger some make you smaller, some can make you roll like a tire and some clone you. There are lots of more inventive items to collect but more about those later Anyway the combination of those elements will ultimately make BADLAND the game that offers you interesting and surprising gameplay experience all the time. Nothing is randomly generated, everything will be handmade with huge amount of attention to details. And remember, the gameplay teaser video was just a glimpse from BADLAND, there is more to come

*lol* obviously! Or do you mean they will get extra effects? I am a little disappointed those graphics are only used as backgrounds. Will buy anyway, looks like fun!
It IS fun, just wait for it BADLAND's visual design process started from the background. When we started to explore the "gaming layer" we realized that the most visually appealing and practical way to do it was in fact this full black layer. It makes an excellent contrast between the background so you can easily tell where you can or can't hit. It also gives us a lot of creative opportunities to combine stuff (pipelines, roots, mines, shredders etc.) seamlessly and create all this brutal traps, obstacles and puzzles.
I'll pay $6.99 for this in a fast beat, just release it before Christmas, that's when I get my 100$ App Store gift card from best buy!
The game is coming out in Feb/March 2013 as a universal app... They updated their facebook and website
