But I'm shocked this one doesn't have local multiplayer like the first. That was one of my favorite features. Knowing them, I bet they will add it later in an update. There sure is alot of crap to wade through but when you find stuff like this amongst it all, it makes me feel thankful to be an iOS gamer. Never in my gaming life have I felt overwhelmed by game releases until iOS. Hardly a problem to complain about, in fact it's the best problem to have. We are very lucky. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #13 slamraman, Dec 17, 2015 it's a beauty - this year has seen some fantastic sequels that just don't seem to have caught on with the general public - spider 2, mos speedrun 2 and air attack 2. They've all been critically acclaimed and are arguably better than their predecessors but people's needs and expectations seem to have changed so much since the originals were released. I think Badlands 2, and I have only spent an hour with it, whilst GTA:LCS was downloading, will be the one to change that and show that a successful independent non-free to pay sequel can be successful on the AppStore. It's an absolute bobby dazzler - like welcoming back an old pal who when you get talking is an even better laugh than when you last seen them. Early doors but more than likely my game of the year. darnoc703 Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2013 1,164 6 38 #14 darnoc703, Dec 17, 2015 As a high school student, the local multiplayer is what made me love the first so much. It's a shame this one doesn't have it. I will get it anyway, but I hope it comes in an update. Helps that this game is gorgeous and runs quite smoothly. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #19 orangecan, Dec 17, 2015 I really didn't think the first one was anything more than an ok game and I struggled to see what all the fuss was about, but I'd still be up for trying this if it improves on and adds to the first. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #20 touchy85, Dec 17, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one, remember I got it for free on the app stores fifth anniversary. But this is so much better. It looks even better than it already did. You can choose to go left or right now and there are platform levels where you control a ball that doesn't flap but roll. The level design is a lot better, it really feels like you're exploring a world. And I'm pretty sure this game will be supported for at least 2 years. Only thing I think they should've fixed is that it doesn't matter when you die. When you die, you spawn pretty much at the same point. If the game was a bit more punishing it would've been game of the year material. Still think it's going to end in my top 10 of the year. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
