Gameloft isnt stupid enough to not release it on iPhone (a month or two later once the exclusive period with xperia ends). Or are they?
It has already been said, it's a "one month" exclusivity @ImNoSuperMan I'm sure they will. Gameloft understands mobile gaming and how to release title more than anyone else on the appstore. (I said understand not that they're the best creators mind you)
It'll hit all of Android eventually, but for the first 30 or so days after its launch in Q2 2011, it'll be only on Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play. http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/22/xperia-play-to-be-exclusive-launch-device-for-gamelofts-backsta/ i'm seeing this as the most original game ever produced by gameloft. The plot seems interesting and if the ships battle are great it could be one good game.
You could have just read the description in wich it said that it will later be comming to other Android and iOS devices.
So Sony thinks that getting a game exclusively for one month is going to help push the Xperia phone. Didn't they try that on the PSP and it failed, as it never really helped push the sales of PSP units? Funny how a company like Sony hasn't learned that exclusive games don't really work anymore. People are going to play on devices they want to play their games on.
Nope, I can definitely +1 what the other guy said. It definitely says iPhone and Apple, with several words between them - not in the description. EDIT:
Im gonna guess that this will not be a original game. The video just looks so much like a pirate type game that it is probably a clone of pirates of the caribean.
Please don't start another 'clone' war! Read the last 10 pages and you'll see other people saying the same!
The video description says "The game will be available later on Android and iOS.". That's what I meant.
How the heck is this a clone? The story is so original! Name one game that the story resembles (including pirates, British Soldiers, etc)
