Doesn't this look like it's using the same engine as Shadow Guardian to you?

"This game looks really fun and everything, but I won't buy it because it doesen't have the most amazing graphics ever seen on a portable device." (That is kind of what you are sayng.)

Seriously, The graphics look pretty good, just because it isn't using the unreal engine doesen't make it awful.

    That makes sense.

This game looks really awesome. I hope it comes to iOS because I love the pirate theme and I'm very happy to see Gameloft try something different.

    Clearly an Assassin Creed clone.

Backstab is the main skill used by all the thief classes in every paper RPG.
Plus these kunai looking throwing weapons, this hood, and these medieval looking houses in the background nail it.

edit : this could also explain why it's Xperia exclusive (AC already is out on iOS, by Gameloft themselves, and because it is an exclusive on a not yet known platform they're re-using AC's mechanics engine to reduce costs).

There are more whiners on this site than any other place I swear. For all the people on here who complain when a game is more than a dollar or two, we sure have a lot of people screaming for new game engines and graphical improvements. That stuff comes at a cost, and if Gameloft were to upgrade their graphics engine along with a price hike, the backlash would be enormous around here.

Right..this game looks like it was ripped right out of Assassin's Creed. Give me a break. Just because it's Gameloft doesn't mean every game is a carbon copy of something. Either way, Assassin's Creed is a Ubisoft property, so they don't need to rip it off.

I guess haters are going to hate though.

C0re is an indie dev wanabee so he makes it a point to troll gameloft threads every now and then. Funny how this guy makes thread about respecting devs but does the exact oposite when it comes to to big devs.

Exactly. To me it doesn't look like a clone of anything. Sure, it's taken inspiration from some games, but what game nowadays doesn't? People need to stop trying to guess what this is a clone of and just accept that Gameloft is making an original game for once.

Wait, where on earth did I troll Gameloft ? Production technical words are taboo now ?
"Cost reduction" are not bad words you know, kid. In this situation it's also called refactoring, and every business uses it in IT.
Plus, since when would it be bad to suppose that Gameloft is making clones forever ?
Is it because you want originality so bad that you consider anyone guessing a clone to be a troll ? Kinda sad tbh...
It was just a guessing game, like everyone else on this thread.

Azrael, just stop discriminating random people, this could lead you to troubles in the future.

Also, this recent quote from you should prevent you from commenting anybody in a gameloft thread :

I think I'm the only guy in the world to have played nearly all titles by Gameloft from when it opens his virtual shops until nowadays!
