    We all do it. ;)

Anywho, the animations in the game looks pretty bad, I hope Gameloft show their commitment to iOS by making it better for us.

Uhm, the graphics on the iPhone will definetly be the same, the iPhone 4 isn't faster than the xperia playfrom what I know. With the iPad 2 I'm not so sure, gameloft might improove the graphics there like they did with Asphalt 6.

They did almost nothing in Asphalt 6 for the iPad 2. Dead Space and RR2 added modest improvements, but nothing much there either.

Uh, what are you talking about?
iPhone is definitely faster than the xperia
And it has a retina display, whic automatically makes it batter

    No it isn't.

The processors are about equal (800 MHz A4 vs. 1 GHz Snapdragon) (Snapdragon has no L2 cache or 64 bit memory bus)
Graphics are a bit better on the Xperia (Adreno 205 vs. PowerVR SGX 535)

    Resolution:

    Xperia: 854 x 480
    iPhone 4: 960 x 640.

Yes higher resolution means better right? Not necessarily. The Xperia is pushing half the pixels of the iPhone, so the frame rates are twice as high right there + the ~30% extra GPU power would give you an Xperia being a much more capable gaming device.

Sure graphics would look more "clear" on the Retina Display, but you would have more game effects, better textures, smoother frame rates, better lighting, etc. on the Xperia. And yet combined with anti-aliasing you would get the same "clearness" as on the Retina Display.

Obviously if you're using an A5 powered device, it's better than the Xperia, but few of us have one.

I think the retina display makes more of a difference than you realise. With pixels that are a quarter of the size of regular pixels, the graphics just look so much sharper than similar sized screens of normal pixels. Even with anti-aliasing, you won't get the same clarity as the retina display. From my experience with an iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, it's like playing a PS3 game in 576p vs playing it in 720p. And I don't care about "better" lighting and effects when the screen looks so pixelated.

    Agreed
I played on my retina screen, and after that, everything else just basically looks kinda bad

Ahhhh yet another example of Gameloft's Oscar-worthy voice-acting! Having lived in London for five years, I must point out that we don't owll twalk lwyke thus. The scottish do though ;). Also, I just wanna note that so far there has been almost no stealth-play...

The difference isn't as big as from 3GS to 4 though.

There is a 4X difference going from 3GS to 4.

From Xperia to 4 it is only a 1.5X difference.

So it is a 2.5X difference from 3GS to Xperia Play.

    3GS: 153,600 pixels
    Xperia Play: 409,920 pixels
    iPhone 4: 614,440 pixels

IMO it is the perfect balance.

The resolution isn't terribly low, but it isn't so high that I can't have super nice graphics at the same time. Even if the game has the same graphics on the iPhone, I would take the Xperia version because of the much higher frame rates achieved. 50 FPS > 30 FPS. Yes the iPhone versio should mostly be smooth, but it will still get the occasional frame rate drops. And 50+ FPS is just a superior experience.

Another thing...anti-aliasing can definitely do that. Once you use 8xMSAA or
4xFSAA (lets not even talk about what 16xQ and 32X can do) it becomes stunningly clear.

Think of it this way..on your PS3...

Would you rather have a game with graphics like Crysis 2 or Uncharted 3 running at 720p or a game with graphics like Black Ops at native 1080P?

Or say you have a computer with a 1920 x 1080 monitor. Would you rather run Crysis at Medium settings at 1080p or on Very high at like 1440 x 900?

From my own experience the Retina Display on my iPod Touch 4 looks worse than the Super LCD on my HTC Desire Z. (wich has the same resolution as the Xperia Play on 3.7"). The colours on the iPod Touches Retina Display are pretty awful when you compare it to other devices. Of course this may be different on the iPhone, since the displays aren't the same...

You forgot the point that the xperia almost needs or be played in the dark
The screen brightness is sickeningly low...

Calling it a peace of shit because they aren't hobos to not effort a normal voice actors and normal animators... They have even a huge motion capture room and they can't make a normal animations! How could you not call them retards or idiots or peace of shits when they have better equipment and they don't use it for their games?! It's sad just too sad... I'm whining about gameloft games because they could be better! Btw I'm not gamelofts hater I'm just mad when they ship the game that isn't enough polished...
