Machine 2_1 beats 1_0 about 60% / 40%, so it should present a better challenge. Both AIs make their biggest mistakes in the endgame, which is a known flaw with this type of learning architecture. Backgammon is very often played in a match over several games of backgammon keeping score until someone hits the winning point count (a variable choice perhaps set in options). The doubling cube adds an important element of risk vs reward to backgammon and has always been my favorite part of backgammon. i don't understand the no-undos request. the undo button only lets you undo moves in your current turn, nothing more. it'd be a shame to be stuck with a bad move because of a flaky gesture or a tricky small screen.
