Finished Chapter 4! Man oh man, the final boss is something. Especially in its final phase. Took every bone in my finger. Loved every minute of the game. A great way to start 2019. And to put icing on the cake, it seems there’s an endless mode too. I’m not really much of a fan of endless modes in any game but I’m sure others will definitely dig it. Thanks a lot @Joel Rochon for this fantastic game!
I have to say to anyone who may be on the fence about this one, it’s about as far away from being my cup of tea as any game I can think of but I’m absolutely loving it. I didn’t intend to buy it because I don’t do this kind of thing at all, but I had a few too many wines last night and got tempted despite myself and I’m very glad I did.
Can’t believe it but I made it to chapter 4. It is insane and at times and I get really creeped out from those Spoiler spiders. They act just like the real thing would (or how the real thing would act in my nightmares ). I find if I have all four weapon slots equipped it gets confusing for me when it gets frantic to pick the right weapon. So I usually run with my basic gun and a fully upgraded Gatling and Shotgun. The shotgun is really great for those tough groups of enemies. Still have a bunch more weapons and other things to upgrade. I’m glad you mentioned an endless mode, @Rocksaint. That’s something I’m looking forward to. Great pick from TA for Game of the Week!
Everyone else is trying to 100% this with nothing but claymore too, right? Can’t say I’m doing too well (not if “well” is measured by game progress) but I’m having a chuffing great time! Edit: claymore is also literally the only weapon I’ve upgraded, and it’s, idk, l6 or 7?!)

Top level claymore Decent qties of cash upgrades and a couple of damage / escape ones, too. Still stuck on chapter 1, though last attempt I managed to turn the boss red! #rofl Think I'd struggle to sell this as a winning strategy, but it's superb fun #rofl

Ok, so. My two penn’orth - the claymore is underpowered for boss fights. I guess this is a bit of a side issue, given who tf else is going to be stupid enough to attempt a full on claymore run (I’ve probably stepped aside from this venture tbh, because of the boss thing). But anyway. I assumed I was carrying a fearsome tool of one-shot damage; particularly with maxed out damage multiplier. But switching to mini gun (tbf also maxed out) and I nailed the boss in what felt like half the time and just as many hits as the claymore. (Still not dead. Thought he was a goner when he went white, oops). Idk, perhaps it’s the visuals that are misleading me? Huge spark trails cascading across its body look like multi hits. But I’m not sure how they’re counted, and the damage doesn’t seem to be stacking that much :hmm: As an aside, claymore strikes on balls and chains also sometimes don’t register, even when it visibly passes through them.
