All good shows, though technically The Head and The Maxx were both part of the series MTV's Oddities. The best part of that Aeon Flux movie was the simultaneous release of the box set of the entire TV series + the Liquid Television shorts on DVD.
MTV was awesome until around 1999/2000. It started to go downhill with TRL and dumbass teen girls screaming over the videos but they still had decent shows on throughout the 1990's. Anyone else remember the Sifl-n-Olly show?
I have no memory of anything until 2000. So I have to say that I have no respect for MTV. Where's the music?
I'm sure if you search around hard enough you can find nearly everything that's ever aired on MTV online somewhere. I'd recommend starting with Liquid Television and early Beavis & Butt-Head with the videos intact. Also, who told you about my time machine??
Squirt, you fail. You fail nostalgia forever. HOW COULD YOU POST THIS WITHOUT MENTIONING LIQUID TV!? DX and the VIDEOS! grah!
I'm so gutted the Beavis & Butt-Head DVDs aren't allowed to include videos. It's understandable, but maaaaaaan. I've got them anyway, still good stuff.
Threads bringing back some fond memories of MTV era, when it ALL began. Funny......the one thing that really sticks out is Van Halen's video called "Jump". Seemed like that one stayed on forever. Oh yea.........lets not forget "Thriller and "Billy Jean" Those also played on.....and on. I also remember continuous music, not the crap they got on now. Most were really great because it was all new/ground breaking stuff. Do they still have the Monkeess 24 hour tv marathon?........heh
Why isn't there an "MTV Classic" that just shows old blocks of programing from the 80's? I mean they have at least 5 networks now you'd think they could jam in some decent music videos somewhere.
